Part 2: The Case

Part 1 made the geopolitical argument. President Juan Orlando Hernández was an ally of the United States.

The Biden DOJ indicted him the day a Chinese-aligned Honduran government took his place. Trump’s pardon was part of a multi-pronged intervention in the November 2025 Honduran election — the endorsement, the threat to cut aid, and the pardon itself.

Nasry Asfura won by 0.74 percent. By the admission of supporters and critics alike, that intervention changed the result.

Asfura took office and is pulling Honduras back toward the United States and away from China. Whatever else it was, Trump’s pardon was a strategic act in the United States’ interests.

Two Questions, Separately Asked

Geopolitics is one question. The US Attorney for the Southern District of NY’s conviction of Hernandez is another.

The pardoning of a man can be useful to American foreign policy and that man can still be guilty of what a jury said he was guilty of. A pardon can serve American interests and still let a criminal walk. The two questions are separate and must be answered separately.

This installment looks at the case the Biden DOJ actually prosecuted in their conviction of Hernandez, the former president of Honduras.

A Conspiracy Measured in Tons

The Biden DOJ said Hernández was a bad man whose alliance with America did not change what he was. They placed him at the center of a cocaine conspiracy.

Federal prosecutors said the conspiracy Hernandez was a part of moved more than 400 tons of cocaine through Honduras to the United States between 2004 and 2022. Spread out over 18 years, that comes to about 22 tons a year.

According to US government estimates, the conspiracy Hernandez was accused of being part of accounted for roughly 10 percent of all cocaine Americans consume annually.

The prosecutors said that Hernandez was a part of a larger system that moved drugs and money. A network, they said, that passed through Honduras.

El Chapo

The prosecutors charged him with using machine guns in furtherance of the conspiracy and with conspiring to use them. Those charges carried a 30-year mandatory minimum.

The machine guns were never used in the United States. They were never in the United States. The prosecution’s theory was that they were used by Hondurans in Honduras. The connection to the United States was that the cocaine they allegedly protected was bound for American consumers.

Two of the three charges prosecutors convicted Hernandez of were based on machine guns and a single alleged event in 2013.

At that time, Hernández was a candidate. He was not yet president.

The prosecution alleged that Hernández’s brother and an associate, armed with machine guns, collected a million-dollar bribe from Joaquín “El Chapo” Guzmán — payment in advance for favors not yet rendered.

A Question of Distance

The complication was geography.

According to the Drug Enforcement Administration, El Chapo — the man allegedly handing over the million in cash — was at that same moment 1200 miles away, in the mountains of Sinaloa.

The DEA agent who led the operation that captured him, Andrew Hogan, has documented in a published book and in court records that Chapo was under continuous BlackBerry surveillance during that period. The agency was reading his texts in real time.

They could see a single text message.

They would have seen him cross two international borders with a million dollars in cash.

Hogan was not called as a witness at Hernández’s trial. The man with the most detailed knowledge of Chapo’s whereabouts at the time— who would know whether the meeting could have happened at all — never took the stand.

What the Chapo Trial Did Not Say

There was also the matter of the El Chapo trial itself.

Hernandez was never mentioned in the trial of El Chapo.

Fifty-six prosecution witnesses testified, including 14 of Chapo’s close associates and cooperators from the Colombian and Mexican cartels. No one mentioned Hernandez during the three months of the El Chapo trial.

It was in the Eastern District of New York. 2018 to 2019. The most thoroughly documented prosecution of a drug trafficker in modern American history. Cooperator after cooperator, bribe after bribe, name after name. Mexican governors. Police chiefs. The former public security minister of Mexico. A public ledger of Sinaloa Cartel corruption.

Juan Orlando Hernández’s name does not appear in it.

The Department of Justice tried Chapo for everything. They did not mention – not even once – Hernandez, the man they would, three years later, prosecute as one of his most important political allies.

The Witness From Copán

How did the government prove El Chapo bribed Hernandez? The government called Alexander Ardón.

Ardón had been the mayor of El Paraíso, Copán, a Honduran border town on the Guatemala line. While serving as mayor, he ran a cocaine trafficking organization. Under oath, Ardón said he was responsible for 56 murders.

Murder can pay in the SDNY if you testify the right way. Alexander Ardón killed 56 people and testified against Hernandez. He got six years.

Because of his cooperation in testifying against Hernandez, Ardón’s sentence for 56 murders was less than six years.

Ardón named three eyewitnesses to the El Chapo meeting — the Salguero cousins and Mauricio Hernández Pineda. All three were in U.S. custody. All three had pleaded guilty.

The prosecution called none of them.

Two Tellings of the Same Bribe

Ardón had also told a different jury a different story.

In 2019, testifying against Juan Orlando’s brother Tony, Ardón told the Manhattan jury that El Chapo delivered his bribe at El Espíritu, Copán, at a property owned by the Valle Valle brothers.

In 2024, testifying against Juan Orlando Hernandez, Ardón changed the location. He told a different Manhattan jury — in the same courthouse, with the same prosecutors — that El Chapo delivered the $1 million bribe at Ardón’s mother’s house.

The same bribe, the same witness said occurred at two different locations, both under oath.

He had to change the location. The Valle Valle organization had been dismantled by the Hernández administration in 2014, immediately after the alleged “protection pact” was supposedly made at one of their properties. If Hernandez took a bribe from El Chapo at the Valle Valles property, a jury might wonder why he extradited them within months of taking office.

Ardon’s original story had a risk. Ardón’s memory was “refreshed.”

The new story was that El Chapo came to his mother’s house.

Alexander Ardón, with 56 murders, was the witness for two of the three charges – that Hernandez took a bribe from El Chapo, with guns involved.

A man who would switch the locale of the bribe from one address to another to fit the second trial had a motive to move it. He also had a motive to invent it. He was facing life in prison. The prosecutors who decided whether he would walk were the same prosecutors who needed him to place El Chapo in Honduras.

Ardón gave them what they needed.

The Question Beyond the Bribe

Even if the El Chapo meeting was a fiction, the larger question remained. Was Hernández actually a major player in moving cocaine into the United States?

On that question, the case was thin on physical evidence.

The prosecutors had no wiretaps, no recorded phone call of Hernández talking about cocaine — even though the DEA was recording the phones of El Chapo, the Cachiros, and the traffickers who claimed to have bribed him.

There was nothing on paper: no ledger, no receipt, no written record whatsoever connecting him to the conspiracy – even though the same investigation produced ledgers, receipts, and written records in other cases.

No surveillance photo. No drug shipment tied to him by physical evidence.

It had one thing for evidence: cooperators. Three of them.

The Cooperating Witnesses

Three men were the case. Ardón, the former mayor who admitted to 56 murders.

Another equally motivated witness: Devis Leonel Rivera Maradiaga — “El Cachiro” — who admitted to 78 murders.

And Geovanny Fuentes Ramírez, a convicted trafficker serving life. He was a distant third in murders with only five under his belt.

While Fuentes Ramírez only chalked up five murders compared to the other three witnesses that constituted the evidence against Hernandez, he distinguished himself by his hands-on killing of a police officer whom he kidnapped, tied up, tortured, and then stabbed him to death.

Fuentes Ramírez was the one who told the jury the most memorable line. He told the jury that Hernández said: “we’re going to shove the drugs right up the gringos’ noses.”

Three men with 139 murders between them.

All three were cooperators. All three had signed cooperation agreements with the same prosecutors who were trying Hernández — written contracts in which the cooperators agreed to testify, and the prosecutors agreed, in exchange, to ask the judge for a reduced sentence if they were satisfied with the testimony.

The prosecutors were evidently satisfied.

Ardón, who confessed to 56 murders, served less than six years before being sent back to Honduras. Fuentes Ramírez is serving a life sentence with the door open to reduction.

Maradiaga admitted to orchestrating 78 murders. He surrendered to the DEA in January 2015. He has been a cooperating witness in five major SDNY prosecutions over the past eleven years. His final sentence has not been imposed. His current custody status is not in the public record.

Three witnesses. A structure of incentives in which what happened to them next depended on what they said about Juan Orlando Hernández.

That was the case.

The Sentence and the Reaction

Judge Kevin Castel handed down the sentence in June 2024: 45 years in federal prison plus an $8 million fine.

Trump pardoned Hernandez at the end of 2025.

The reaction was immediate. Democrats and Republicans condemned the pardon. Editorial pages said Trump had freed a drug lord. They asked how any American president could pardon him.

Nobody asked these questions.

Whether the trial was political. Whether the witnesses lied. Whether the prosecution hid evidence. Whether Judge Castel allowed Hernández an adequate defense.

Whatever the prosecutors thought they were doing, the result was this. The man who kept Honduras with the United States went to prison. The country went to China. The Biden administration produced both outcomes and prevented neither.

This series will examine the trial. The cooperating witnesses who admitted to ordering the deaths of 139 people. The State Department cables that praised Hernández as the most effective drug-fighting partner in Honduran history, until the moment he stopped being politically useful.

Whether the story the jury decided was the whole story. You can decide. But you should know what the jury heard — and what it didn’t.

On December 1, 2025, Donald Trump pardoned the former president of Honduras, Juan Orlando Hernández. He was in a US prison.

Hernández had served less than four years of a 45-year sentence when he was pardoned. He was 57.

Hernández walked out of FCI Hazelton on the day Trump signed the pardon.

The US Attorney for the Southern District of New York had convicted him in March 2024 of conspiring to import cocaine into the United States, along with two weapons charges connected to a bribe by Joaquín “El Chapo” Guzmán.

It was an odd shift in fortunes.

As President of Honduras, Juan Orlando Hernández had been a partner in the requests that American presidents made of Honduras during his eight years in office.

He extradited more drug traffickers to the United States than any Honduran president before him. He worked with the DEA, the FBI, and U.S. Southern Command.

He cooperated on migration, slowing the northbound flow when Washington asked. He kept Honduras aligned with Taiwan, despite years of Chinese pressure to switch.

He was an ally.

Then he left office after two terms in office.

Xiomara Castro and the Libre party came into power on January 27, 2022. The Libre party’s foreign policy orientation was the opposite of Hernández’s on issues that American officials care about.

Closer ties with Venezuela and Cuba.

Skepticism of the United States. And, 14 months after Castro took office, in March 2023, Honduras switched its diplomatic recognition from Taiwan to the People’s Republic of China.

Switching to China led to the closure of the Taiwanese embassy. It opened a Chinese one. Castro did it to bring Chinese state investment, Chinese intelligence presence, and Chinese strategic influence into a country 90 minutes by plane from Texas.

The post-Hernandez Honduran realignment is what American foreign policy had spent decades trying to prevent.

Honduras, under Hernández, stayed with Taiwan. Honduras, under Libre, went to Beijing.

That didn’t stop the Biden DOJ from indicting Hernández on January 27, 2022 — the same day Castro was inaugurated, as if it was almost a tip of the hat to Castro and the Chinese.

Castro’s government switched Honduras to China in March 2023, ending an 82-year recognition of Taiwan.

The Biden administration extradited Hernández the same year his successor pulled the country into Beijing’s sphere.

Hernández was tried in 2024. Sentenced in June. Sent to FCI Hazelton in early 2025.

In Honduras, Chinese promises did not materialize. Shrimp exports collapsed. Infrastructure projects stalled. The shift that Castro called pragmatic looked, to many Hondurans, like a country that had given up its alliance with the USA for something that never materialized.

In November 2025, the National Party — Hernández’s party - as the former president sat in prison— ran Nasry Asfura on a platform of restoring ties with Taiwan. Trump endorsed him. Trump said U.S. aid depended on his winning.

And in a strategic act of brilliance for American interests, Trump pardoned Hernández the day before the vote.

Pro-American Asfura won by less than one percent.

Whatever else it was, the pardon was the move that returned Honduras to American allegiance and pulled it out of China’s reach. That, by itself, made the pardon, arguably, an act of preserving American interests.

Asfura won by 0.74 percent. In a race that close, any number of factors could have tipped it. But Trump’s intervention in the final 72 hours — the endorsement, the threat of suspending aid, and the pardon of Hernández — was, by both sides’ admission, what moved the needle.

Nasralla said publicly that the endorsement and the pardon cost him the election. The Castro government called it an electoral coup. Supporters of Asfura did not deny that Trump put them over the top. They celebrated it. In a tipping-point race, the pardon was part of what tipped it.

Asfura took office on January 27, 2026 — four years to the day after Hernández left.

Within weeks, Asfura met Trump at Mar-a-Lago. He met Secretary of State Marco Rubio at the Shield of the Americas Summit. He ordered a review of every agreement Castro had signed with China. His vice president confirmed publicly that Honduras intends to restore relations with Taiwan, slowly, as the Chinese contracts can be unwound.

Honduras is the first Latin American country in more than thirty years to begin moving away from Beijing after recognizing it.

The realignment Hernández stood for during his eight years in office — the realignment the Biden Justice Department prosecuted him after a successor government reversed — is being put back into place by the man who pardoned him.

You can call that a coincidence if you want.

James Comey now stands in precisely the cold spotlight of the accused, the indicted, and hopefully the soon-to-be convicted former FBI Director. The man who spent years cultivating the image of a granite hewn moral sentinel, has been indicted for a second time by a federal grand jury.

This latest case reportedly arises from the now notorious Instagram photograph in which seashells were arranged to read “86 47,” accompanied by a breezy caption about a beach walk and a curious shell formation.

Millions of Americans instantly understood the implication. “86” is common slang for remove, eject, or eliminate. “47” refers to President Donald Trump, the 47th President of the United States. The meaning was plain enough to any citizen with common sense and a pulse.

Once public outrage erupted, the post vanished. Then came the familiar Comey refrain: misunderstanding, innocence, surprise, lofty opposition to violence, and wounded confusion that anyone would interpret the message as threatening. It was the bureaucrat’s version of being caught with smoke pouring from the kitchen while insisting no one can prove who lit the stove.

But James Comey is no naïve retiree stumbling through the language of the modern age. He is a former United States Attorney, former Deputy Attorney General, former FBI Director, and one of the most media conscious government officials of the last generation. He understands symbolism. He understands coded language. He understands how political rhetoric migrates through television screens, social media feeds, and the fever swamps of unstable minds. That is exactly why this matter is serious.

America has endured repeated assassination attempts, political violence, and a coarsening culture in which extremists increasingly mistake theatrical menace for civic engagement. In such an environment, a former FBI director does not enjoy the luxury of playing coy with numerals and then pleading innocence when the public notices. He knew exactly what he was doing, he did it with intent, and he knew better.

This indictment is also significant because it marks Comey’s second trip into the criminal dock in roughly six months. His first indictment, brought in 2025, involved allegations of false statements to Congress and obstruction tied to his Senate testimony concerning matters connected to the Clinton email investigation era. That case collapsed amid procedural irregularities, questions regarding prosecutorial authority, and what the court reportedly described as government misconduct and investigative missteps. Even there, the pattern was revealing. Wherever James Comey appears, confusion seems to follow like exhaust from a badly tuned engine.

For years Comey postured as the nation’s ethical headmaster while leaving a wake of institutional wreckage. He inserted himself into the 2016 election by publicly castigating Hillary Clinton’s conduct while declining prosecution. He then briefly revived the Clinton email matter days before the vote. He presided over the opening phase of Crossfire Hurricane, the now infamous Russia collusion saga that convulsed the country, relied in part on poisoned opposition research, and became one of the most disgraceful intelligence episodes in modern American history.

He leaked memoranda of private presidential conversations through intermediaries. He monetized grievance through books, speeches, and television appearances. He transformed the office of FBI director into a vanity platform.

Always the sermon. Always the spotlight. Always the self regard. Now the old magistrate finds himself judged. The legal standard in this new case is substantial. Prosecutors reportedly must show that Comey subjectively understood the message would be perceived as a threat. Courts do not lightly criminalize speech, nor should they. Political expression, even vulgar political expression, occupies a protected place in our republic. But ambiguity deliberately employed by a sophisticated actor is not the same thing as innocence. A man who spends a lifetime communicating through implication cannot suddenly claim illiteracy in implication.

That is the central irony of the Comey saga. He built his career in the gray areas between what was said and what was meant, between what could be proven and what could be insinuated, between law and theater. He weaponized suggestion when it benefited him. He now asks the nation to believe suggestion is meaningless when it implicates him. No sale.

Whether prosecutors prevail is for the courts. Whether a jury convicts is another matter entirely. But politically and morally, this indictment already carries force. It reminds the American people that titles do not confer sainthood, media adulation does not erase misconduct, and bureaucratic pedigree does not place one above scrutiny.

James Comey once moved through Washington as if carved from marble. In truth he was always fashioned from something much more brittle: vanity, ambition, and the intoxicating belief that rules were for other people. Eventually, every brittle monument cracks.

The near miss as another of President Trump’s wannabe assassins charged past the agents and magnetometers at the Washington Hilton on Saturday night was no random spasm of violence. It was a calculated incursion that exposed the dangerous vulnerabilities of holding high profile presidential events at commercial venues. What should have been an evening of ceremony and spectacle instead became a chilling reminder that the enemies of order need only one opening.

The alleged gunman, Cole Tomas Allen, a 31 year old from Torrance, California, came perilously close to turning a glittering media gala into a national catastrophe. According to public reports, Allen was armed with a shotgun, a handgun, and multiple knives. He was also a registered guest at the hotel, a status that reportedly allowed him to bypass several outer security layers applied to non-guests and move throughout the premises with relative ease.

Authorities say he had checked into the hotel one or two days before the event after traveling cross country by train. As a paying guest, he blended into the stream of transient foot traffic that makes hotel security so difficult to control. Around 8:36 in the evening, he allegedly charged a Secret Service checkpoint near the ballroom entrance and opened fire.

One Secret Service officer was struck and survived because of a ballistic resistant vest. Had that armor not held, the nation might be mourning a fallen law enforcement officer today. Thankfully, Allen was subdued and taken into custody before reaching the main ballroom where President Trump, the First Lady, the Vice President, cabinet officials, donors, media figures, and invited dignitaries had assembled.

No additional injuries were reported among those under protection, but the implication is unmistakable. The attacker appears to have sought to get close enough to kill the President of the United States.

Everything publicly known so far paints the portrait of an educated but deeply disturbed man operating alone. Reports indicate he earned a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the California Institute of Technology in 2017 and later completed a master’s degree in computer science from California State University Dominguez Hills in 2025.

He reportedly worked as a tutor in Torrance and had even received local recognition as Teacher of the Month in late 2024. His interests allegedly included game development and designing an emergency brake mechanism for wheelchairs. Public records also suggest a modest donation to Kamala Harris during the 2024 cycle, though voter registration records reportedly showed no formal party affiliation.

He had no prior criminal record and according to available accounts had not previously drawn law enforcement attention. Investigators are said to be examining electronic devices, travel records, and communications for motive. Preliminary assessments indicate a lone actor without known accomplices.

The precise details of the weapons remain under investigation. That data is classified under the Tiahrt Amendment and will be released at some point in the future; for now authorities have confirmed the use of a shotgun and handgun. Some reports suggest the long gun may have been retrieved or assembled from a bag near the entrance before the attack commenced. Witness accounts indicate multiple shots were fired during the exchange.

This horror summons the ghost of history, because this same hotel is forever linked to presidential bloodshed. In 1981, John Hinckley Jr. ambushed Ronald Reagan outside the Washington Hilton following a public appearance. Reagan was gravely wounded, along with Press Secretary James Brady, Tim McCarthy who is the Secret Service agent that literally jumped in front of the bullet that day, and a Metropolitan Police Officer named Thomas Delahanty in the neck. That attack succeeded in part because the President had to exit a commercial property into an exposed public zone with predictable movement patterns. Forty five years later, the same venue again appears as an inviting target.

Hotels are designed for hospitality, not hardened executive security. Their mission is guest convenience, privacy, luggage access, room turnover, catering logistics, and constant civilian movement. Those realities are fundamentally incompatible with airtight protective operations. The courageous men and women of the Secret Service and supporting law enforcement who threw themselves between the gunman and the protectees deserve the gratitude of every American. In the critical seconds when chaos erupted, they acted with speed, discipline, and valor. Their professionalism likely prevented a historic tragedy.

An attack on the President of the United States, regardless of party, is an attack on the constitutional order itself. It strikes at peaceful succession, national continuity, and the stability of the republic. There is also a broader cultural sickness that cannot be ignored. For years, certain corners of American political life have trafficked in fantasies of destruction, normalization of rage, and theatrical hatred of political opponents. They strike matches near dry timber, then feign innocence when flames appear. Reckless rhetoric can help create the atmosphere in which unstable men imagine themselves historical actors.

This incident should end the debate over the need for a secure, purpose built White House ballroom. Major presidential events should be held on fortified federal grounds, not in commercial hotels with porous access points and divided chains of authority. A dedicated White House ballroom could incorporate permanent perimeter defenses, hardened walls, blast resistance, secure ingress and egress routes, drone countermeasures, integrated communications systems, and immediate medical response capabilities.

Such a venue would eliminate the recurring vulnerabilities that accompany rented ballrooms, temporary magnetometers, ad hoc screening lanes, shared loading docks, elevators, kitchens, hotel staff rotations, and thousands of variables no planner can ever fully control.

Opponents of this idea often dismiss it as vanity or extravagance. That is unserious nonsense. Security is not ornamentation. It is necessity. President Trump has long recognized the practical need for such a facility. State dinners, diplomatic receptions, award ceremonies, and major addresses should occur in an environment built for the office of the presidency, not improvised within private hospitality infrastructure.

Saturday night delivered a warning written in sirens and gunfire. Commercial venues carry intrinsic risks that temporary measures cannot fully erase. Moving major presidential gatherings to a permanent, secure, on site stronghold is no longer optional. It is indispensable to the safety of the presidency and the continuity of the republic. Anything less invites the shadow of another attempt.

The shots in Dallas ended JFK’s presidency. The evidence left behind may yet end a lie. Some crimes are so monstrous that the guilty must kill twice. First they kill the victim. Then they kill the truth.

On November 22, 1963, President John Fitzgerald Kennedy was murdered in broad daylight before the eyes of the world. Yet the gunfire in Dealey Plaza was followed by something quieter and in many ways more enduring: the systematic burial of evidence, the laundering of suspicion, the elevation of fantasy into official doctrine.

For more than 60 years Americans have been ordered to believe a fairy tale fit for children and fools. A lone misfit with a mail order rifle, perched in a warehouse, altered the destiny of the greatest nation on Earth by himself? No conspiracy? No coordination? No hidden hands? No beneficiaries except fate itself? No chance all that’s believable!

The Kennedy assassination was a coup executed by men of extraordinary power and then concealed by men of great prestige at the highest levels of government. At the center of that infernal machinery stood Lyndon Baines Johnson, a man whose ambition was bottomless, whose methods were infamous, and whose reward was immediate.

Now let us discuss one piece of evidence the establishment cannot comfortably laugh away. Fingerprints.

The Print on the Sixth Floor

In the ruins of every cover up there are fragments that refuse to disappear. One such fragment is known as Print 29. This latent fingerprint, recovered from a cardboard carton on the sixth floor of the Texas School Book Depository, has long been one of the most explosive pieces of physical evidence connected to the assassination. Why? Because according to respected forensic examiners, it matches the fingerprints of Malcolm “Mac” Wallace, the convicted killer and longtime Lyndon Johnson enforcer. Let that sink in.

A fingerprint attributed to a man widely known in Texas political circles as Johnson’s hatchet man was found in the sniper’s nest area on the day President Kennedy was murdered. If that fact does not command national attention, then nothing does.

Who Was Mac Wallace?

Malcolm “Mac” Wallace was no choirboy, no misunderstood clerk, no accidental passerby. He was convicted in 1951 for the murder of John Douglas Kinser, whom he shot in a dispute tied to a romantic entanglement with LBJ’s sister. It seems Kinsr was trying to blackmail Johnson. Wallace’s defense attorney was none other than John Cofer, Lyndon Johnson’s personal lawyer and one of the most powerful attorneys in Texas. Wallace received a sentence so lenient it has baffled observers for decades. Many have viewed the result as another example of Johnson’s immense ability to bend institutions to his will.

Wallace was also ID’ed as stopping by a service station to ask for directions to the farm of Henry Marshall the night before the Agriculture Department Official who was investigating LBJ’s role in the Billie Sol Estes scandal was found dead of a bullet wound to the head in 1961.

After 1951 Wallace’s name repeatedly surfaced in the shadowlands of Texas power politics. Numerous researchers have concluded that Wallace functioned as a trusted Johnson operative for dirty work too sensitive for respectable company. And then, somehow, his alleged fingerprint appears in the Texas School Book Depository. Coincidence is the last refuge of the incurious.

Nathan Darby and the Match

The late A. Nathan Darby, a certified latent fingerprint examiner of substantial credentials, conducted a comparison of Print 29 against Wallace’s known fingerprint records. Those records existed precisely because Wallace had been processed in the Kinser murder case.

On March 9, 1998, Darby executed an affidavit stating that Print 29 matched Wallace. Darby initially identified 14 matching points between the latent print and Wallace’s exemplar. In a later analysis he found 34 points of similarity. In many jurisdictions, 8 - 12 points are considered sufficient for identification. Read that again.

Fourteen points initially. Thirty four points later. That is not numerology. That is forensic analysis. Darby’s work was not the ranting of a tavern crank or the scribbling of a basement pamphleteer. He was a qualified professional who put his name, credentials, and reputation behind the conclusion. Yet instead of headlines, debate, and national inquiry, there was silence.

Corroboration and Retreat

Another accredited examiner, E. Harold Hoffmeister, reportedly reviewed the comparison and initially corroborated Darby’s findings. Later, upon realizing the immense historical implications of the identification, Hoffmeister withdrew his support. I do not pretend to know the inner workings of another man’s conscience, but I know pressure when I see it and I sense fear when I smell it.

To place Lyndon Johnson’s hatchet man on the sixth floor of the Depository is not a mere historical footnote. It is dynamite beneath the marble temple of the Warren Commission. Many men can face evidence. Far fewer can face consequences.

Motive, Means, Opportunity

Every homicide detective worth his badge begins with three questions:

1. Who had the motive?

2. Who had the means?

3. Who had the opportunity?

Lyndon Johnson had all three in monstrous abundance. By late 1963 Johnson faced scandal, possible political exile, and the very real possibility that John Kennedy would dump him from the 1964 ticket. Robert Kennedy was circling corruption in Johnson’s orbit like a hawk above a field mouse. Then Dallas happened.

Within hours of the assassination of President Kennedy, President Johnson was sworn in as President aboard Air Force One while Jacqueline Kennedy still wore her husband’s blood on her suit. Fortune may be blind but is rarely punctual and certainly never that punctual. He was not sworn in on a Bible. As a matter of fact, some trivia for my readers, President Johnson was sworn in on a Roman Catholic Daily Missal. A staffer who didn’t know the difference between the two hastily grabbed what he thought was a Bible.

The Warren Commission Fairy Tale

The official narrative asks Americans to believe that Lee Harvey Oswald alone performed a feat of marksmanship still debated to this day, that every contradictory witness was mistaken, that every anomaly is trivial, and that every trail leading toward powerful men is accidental. Now add this question. If Mac Wallace’s print was on that box, what was he doing there? Cataloging textbooks? Checking inventory? Or participating in the most consequential political murder in American history?

The Warren Commission never seriously pursued that path because the Warren Commission was designed not to solve the crime but to tranquilize the public.

Why Physical Evidence Matters

Many theories surround the Kennedy assassination. Some are speculative. Some are theatrical. Some are plausible but unprovable. Fingerprints are different. A fingerprint is not gossip, it’s evidence. It is not memory. It is not ideology. It is the physical signature left by flesh on matter. If the latent print on Box A belongs to Mac Wallace, then the lone gunman theory collapses like wet cardboard.

And if Wallace was there, one must ask the obvious next question. Who sent him?

The LBJ Fact Pattern

No single datum stands alone. The Wallace print sits inside a larger mosaic. Johnson’s towering ambition. Johnson’s corruption exposure. Johnson’s deep ties to Texas fixers and oil money. Johnson’s legal protection of Wallace through John Cofer. Johnson’s immediate ascension to the presidency. Johnson’s history of ruthless political warfare. At some point coincidence becomes camouflage.

Why They Still Resist the Truth

Put simply, if Americans fully absorb what happened in Dallas, then they must confront an intolerable possibility. That their government lied. That elite institutions protected the lie. That a sitting president may have been removed by domestic conspirators. That the succession which followed was born not of democracy, but of blood.

Such realizations are corrosive to the mythology on which bureaucracies survive.

The Question That Will Not Die

They can mock researchers. They can smear skeptics. They can delay files. They can sneer from faculty lounges and television studios. But they cannot erase fingerprints.

Print 29 remains one of the most devastating unresolved facts in modern American history. It points not to a lonely drifter with communist tendencies named Oswald, but toward Malcolm Wallace, Lyndon Johnson’s violent retainer. And from Wallace the path leads where it always has: To Lyndon Baines Johnson.

Some scandals detonate without warning. Others fester in darkness for years, feeding on money, vanity, and the arrogance of those convinced they will never be called to account. Then comes the moment when the walls crack, the masks fall, and the righteous discover they have been standing atop a trapdoor all along. On Wednesday April 22, 2026 that long overdue trapdoor finally opened beneath the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) was announced on by Acting United States Attorney Todd Blanche.

The self-anointed tribunal of acceptable thought, the institution that for decades has issued edicts on who may and may not speak, organize, worship, or dissent without public ruin now finds itself under federal indictment on eleven criminal counts, including wire fraud, false statements to a federally insured bank, and conspiracy to commit concealment money laundering.

For years the SPLC was treated by the media as though it were carved into marble tablets that were handed down from Sinai. Journalists quoted it as gospel. Corporations bent the knee to its classifications. Politicians trembled at the prospect of being named in one of its dossiers. If the Southern Poverty Law Center labeled you suspect, timid elites rushed to distance themselves as though reputational plague had broken out. Now the accuser stands accused.

According to federal prosecutors in the United States Attorneys Office (USAO) in the Middle District of Alabama (MDAL) the SPLC allegedly operated a covert and long-running informant apparatus in which donor money was secretly funneled to individuals tied to violent extremist organizations including Ku Klux Klan factions, neo-Nazi groups, Aryan Nations offshoots, and other racialist degenerates seeking to subvert the United States government. Authorities allege that more than $3 million in donated funds moved through this hidden network between 2014 and 2023. Pause and absorb the staggering irony.

The same institution that built an empire warning affluent liberals that fascists lurked behind every church pew, town council seat, and suburban mailbox now stands accused of paying actual extremists with charitable donations. One could not script comedy so dark.

Prosecutors further allege that donors were told their money would be used to dismantle hate groups, combat white supremacy, and defend civil society. Instead, if the indictment is accurate, funds were routed through shell entities, concealed through deceptive banking practices, and transferred in ways designed to obscure their origin and purpose. If proven, this was not charity. It was alchemy of the most cynical kind, turning fear into gold.

Federal officials have described the alleged scheme as a massive fraud operation. They contend donors believed they were financing opposition to extremism while their money instead benefited the very creatures held up as public enemies. That sentence alone should cause every donor, journalist, and elected official who ever treated this organization as unimpeachable to blush with shame.

For too long certain institutions have enjoyed immunity because they wore the proper ideological costume. Universities may discriminate if they call it equity. Bureaucrats may censor if they call it safety. Activists may defame if they call it justice. Nonprofits may accumulate fortunes if they call it compassion. The Southern Poverty Law Center appears to have believed it belonged to this protected class; it was never merely a fundraising machine, it was a political weapon.

Ask the many mainstream organizations smeared as hate groups for defending traditional religious beliefs. Ask those who supported secure borders and were treated as moral lepers. Ask the ordinary Americans whose livelihoods and reputations were dragged through the mud because they dared question progressive orthodoxy. The organization’s notorious hate map became less a tool of public safety than a blacklist for polite society. Once one was named branded by the SPLC banks hesitated, platforms panicked, and weak-kneed institutions retreated. Such power in irresponsible hands is dangerous enough. In cynical hands it becomes monstrous.

And now we are asked to believe this same institution was nobly financing Klansmen and neo-Nazis for the greater good? Please. That defense has all the credibility of a pickpocket claiming he was merely checking whether your wallet was secure. Yes, law enforcement agencies use confidential informants and undercover officers under legal supervision and formal controls to make their cases. That is not the same as a private fundraising empire soliciting donations under one pretense while secretly directing money elsewhere. If prosecutors can prove deception, concealment, and laundering, then this case is not about intelligence gathering. It is about fraud.

Predictably, the organization now cries political persecution. Every racket eventually does. When the curtain is pulled back, the magician always blames the audience. But these are not anonymous whispers on the internet. They are formal charges returned by a federal grand jury after an investigation involving the FBI and IRS Criminal investigators.

The accused will have their day in court, as every American should. Yet regardless of the legal outcome, one verdict has already been rendered. The aura is gone. For decades this organization functioned as an unelected ministry of truth, deciding who was respectable and who must be exiled from public life. Reporters cited it lazily. Technology companies deferred to it eagerly. Politicians feared it irrationally.

No more. If these allegations are sustained, then the Southern Poverty Law Center was not extinguishing extremism. It was monetizing it. That is among the oldest rackets in politics: invent the monster, frighten the public, collect the checks, and destroy anyone who asks inconvenient questions.

America should learn from this spectacle. Moral exhibitionism is not moral authority. A halo purchased through public relations is still costume jewelry. And any institution that survives by manufacturing villains may one day awaken to find it has become one.

I first met Laura Loomer in the New York office of Project Veritas. She was blonde then, feisty, smart and ambitious. She was also fearless. Because of her outspoken views regarding the dangers of radical Islam – views that I largely share – her career as an investigative journalist and advocate was severely hampered. She became possibly the most censored woman on the planet; forbidden from placing her warnings about Sharia law and radical Islam on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and YouTube. Even Uber banned her.

In 2020, Loomer decided to make a valiant race for Congress against Democrat incumbent Lois Frankel in an overwhelmingly blue Florida district, which happened to include Mar-a-Lago, Donald Trump’s club and winter residence. She campaigned hard, but the presidential endorsement that she richly deserved never came.

On election day of that year, after President Trump voted, he was asked if he had cast his ballot for Loomer. He responded by saying that he had voted straight Republican – a backhanded way of saying yes.

Two years later, Loomer ran for Congress again, this time in a Republican district challenging an incumbent, Daniel Webster. General Michael Flynn and I both campaigned for her. But local media afforded little coverage to Loomer’s energetic campaign, and although she raised and spent more than $800,000, for some strange reason, little seems to have been spent on actual voter contact, according to her campaign reports filed with the Federal Election Commission; broadcast or cable TV commercials, radio, voter mailings, blast emails or text messages.

Since Loomer has never conducted a benchmark poll of voters on which to base her campaign, I would often ask her how she thought it was going. She would cheerfully tell me that she and her volunteers had knocked on thousands of doors and that voters were overwhelmingly committed to choosing her. I tried to explain to her that voters would tell a candidate anything in order to get them to just go away.

When I was framed by Robert Mueller in the Russian collusion witch hunt, Loomer was among my strongest and most reliable supporters and advocates for a presidential pardon, and for that I will always be grateful.

After Elon Musk acquired Twitter and my account was reinstated, my first act was to advocate for Loomer’s reinstatement, which would later be granted.

In 2018, President Trump catapulted Ron DeSantis, an undistinguished congressman with an ill-fitting suit, a bad haircut and an insufferably ambitious and pushy wife, to the Republican nomination for governor of Florida. Trump had to change his campaign schedule to return to the state three times to drag the personality-challenged DeSantis over the finish line. DeSantis won by 32,000 votes out of a total of 8.22 million cast.

Before DeSantis challenged Trump for the 2024 presidential nomination, both Loomer and I were chastised for accurately predicting his treachery, and were told that we were being divisive and hurting the movement.

Loomer dug in aggressively in her research, accurately blaming the pay-for-play culture of Tallahassee for allowing DeSantis seemingly to extort millions for his challenge to Trump. I attacked DeSantis’s ties to the neocons and a shady book deal with HarperCollins, Rupert Murdoch’s publishing company. Murdoch paid DeSantis a $1.25 million advance on a book that would never make more than $30,000 in sales – essentially a payment to induce DeSantis to challenge Trump.

Based on her outstanding performance in her fight against DeSantis, President Trump warmed to Loomer and, on some occasions, she accurately identified neocons, globalists and NeverTrumpers who were trying to reinvent themselves and burrow their way into a second administration. I lauded much of this work.

When Trump promised Loomer a job on his 2024 campaign staff, he faced an internal revolt from both his family members and the crack campaign team of professionals that he had assembled, and the offer was withdrawn. It was a slight from which Loomer would never recover.

Nonetheless, through dogged hard work and general fearlessness, Loomer created a substantial online presence and audience. She soon developed a lucrative business in which individuals, candidates, corporations and others could pay her to promote their causes or destroy their enemies.

Loomer became a rabid cheerleader for an all-out attack on Iran, which was inconsistent with Trump’s election as a noninterventionist committed to stopping endless foreign wars where our inherent national interests were not clear. Loomer joined the Bush, Cheney, Lindsey Graham wing of the Republican party.

Only after becoming convinced that reliable intelligence showed that the Iranians were closer to building a nuclear weapon than had been previously thought did Trump launch Operation Midnight Hammer last June. It was a precise, limited, strategic but extremely lethal effort to at least set back, if not destroy, the regime’s nuclear ambitions.

Midnight Hammer, although wildly successful, was not enough for Loomer and her newfound friends, such as Mark Levin, Graham and Senator Tom Cotton. She also became obsessed with former Democratic congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard, who first became an independent and then endorsed and campaigned for Trump, eventually becoming a Republican and being appointed to Trump’s cabinet as director of national intelligence. When Joe Kent, Gabbard’s director of the National Counterterrorism Center, resigned in protest at Trump’s decision to intervene in Iran, Loomer began insisting that Kent had acted at Gabbard’s direction or with her approval – a complete falsehood.

On March 17, Loomer sent word to Trump that Gabbard’s resignation was imminent, due to his decisions regarding Iran, and that the President must move to preemptively to fire her. It was, of course, not true. Fortunately, because President Trump knew of my strong advocacy of Gabbard for a position in his cabinet, he called me.

On April 10, veteran political reporter Marc Caputo of Axios published a story for which I am not the source, but which is essentially correct, headlined: “How Roger Stone persuaded Trump not to fire Tulsi Gabbard.” The piece explained that the President was displeased with Gabbard when she didn’t wholeheartedly endorse the Iran war and was prepared to fire her – but changed his mind after speaking to me.

I explained that Gabbard was loyal and wasn’t going to resign like Kent; firing her would create a damaging news cycle; and if she were fired she could become a potent GOP presidential candidate. In other words, it is apparent that Loomer attempted to trick the President into terminating Gabbard. (Loomer had reported in a post on X that Gabbard’s political staff had expected her resignation.)

Sadly, Loomer, who began as an independent investigative journalist, is now essentially a propagandist-for-hire. I do not claim that she is a paid agent of Israel, as the Israelis are far too clever for such an arrangement, which would have to be disclosed under the Foreign Agents Registration Act. My guess is that Loomer is funded by wealthy American Zionists, as she has been in the past, who also give money to Israel. She denies she works for Israel.

I had no choice but to call Loomer out on her treachery, which brought the inaccurate counterattack that I represent the Somali government (false, although a lobbyist who did represent them included in his filing his intention to subcontract me, an arrangement that I never engaged in). Indeed, I have never worked in any capacity for the Somali government or any Somali entity, nor taken a penny from them.

Loomer also attacked me for representing the Nigerian government in their US-backed effort to end the slaughter of Christians. I took this work assignment with the encouragement of the administration and the National Security Council and, as required by law, hereby identify myself as representing them, as well as filing all legally required disclosures under FARA. Perhaps Loomer did not see the highly successful joint US-Nigeria bombing of ISIS on Christmas Day.

An American journalist recently told me that Loomer confided in him Mossad’s detailed plans for Venezuela. If true, this once again raises the question of who Loomer really works for, something she has thus far neglected to reveal. Don’t hold your breath.

And there are questions, too, about her mental health. I previously believed Loomer’s complaint that federal authorities had banned her from owning a firearm because she had confronted former FBI director James Comey about his role in Russiagate. I now believe this federal prohibition is based on her past medical history, something Loomer denies. Loomer has said in the past that she has mental health issues, and told this magazine in 2019 that she had once come close to taking her own life. I feel for Loomer, but there remain questions over why she is prohibited from having a gun license.

Who Loomer works for may be a mystery, but what is now abundantly clear is that President Trump will use the military he rebuilt in his first term to ensure that the Strait of Hormuz remains open and that the mullahs will never get a nuclear device. It’s something he has pledged to do since 1988, when he and I first began talking about his making a bid for president.

However, it is doubtful that Loomer will be satisfied unless President Trump commits American troops on the ground and the fight with Iran generates tens of thousands of American casualties, while creating billions in new defense contracts for the likes of Halliburton and General Dynamics.

Frankly, I doubt that is President Trump’s plan. At this point, however, it is abundantly clear that the leader Loomer is most loyal to is Benjamin Netanyahu, rather than Donald Trump.

Cory Mills is a Republican politician from Florida who was elected to the United States Congress House of Representatives in November 2022 and took office in January 2023 as the congressman for Florida’s Seventh Congressional District. It was his first elected public office. Before entering politics, Mills built his public persona around highly exaggerated and fraudulent statements about his military service and private sector work in defense contracting and security. He has frequently described himself as a combat veteran and entrepreneur.

His congressional profile has emphasized veterans affairs, border security, foreign policy, and a hard line conservative agenda. He has also drawn attention through overseas trips, public statements on international conflicts, and efforts to cultivate the image of an action oriented warrior legislator rather than a conventional backbench congressman.

Politics has always attracted performers, opportunists, and the showboating of men and women who confuse swagger with substance. It was only a matter of time until the polished image Cory Mills curated for himself began colliding with allegations and legal proceedings that cast a long and ugly shadow over the mythology he carefully constructed.

A newly compiled opposition research report updated April 19, 2026 lays out a pattern of personal controversy, allegations involving violence against women, and legal findings that no amount of campaign varnish can easily conceal. The report states that in August 2025 a restraining order was granted to Lindsey B. Langston after allegations that Mills threatened to release explicit material tied to their relationship. That tactic is not new, it’s called commonly referred to as sextortion. The report states that in a separate February 2025 incident in Washington, D.C. Mills was accused of physically assaulting another woman named Sarah Raviani and that body camera observations reportedly noted visible bruising on the alleged victim. The report notes that Raviani later recanted, said she had been drinking and stressed, and attributed the bruises to a camel ride in the Middle East. The report further states that only still images were available to its authors and that they could not verify the claims without transcript or audio.

Let us be clear. Men who terrorize women, threaten women, humiliate women, or use fear as leverage are not strong men. They are moral cowards. They are scavengers dressed in expensive suits. They mistake intimidation for masculinity because they possess no genuine character of their own. Cory Mills falls squarely into this category.

Public reporting confirmed the restraining order matter. In October 2025 a Florida judge issued an injunction restricting Mills from contacting Langston, coming within 500 feet of her home or workplace, and referring to her on social media. Politico later reported that the judge found Mills’ testimony regarding intimate videos was “not truthful.” Those words are devastating because they come not from partisan gossip, but from a judge evaluating sworn testimony.

A restraining order is not a minor inconvenience. It is the court stepping between a woman and a man the court believes presents sufficient cause for protection. It is a judicial flare shot into the night sky.

Then came the Washington incident involving Sarah Raviani. The Washington Post reported on April 18, 2026 that police nearly arrested Mills after a woman accused him of assault and displayed visible bruises. The paper further reported that an officer later sought an arrest warrant that was declined by then interim United States Attorney Ed Martin. The same report said body camera footage showed the woman later recanting after appearing to speak with Mills. That sequence does not prove criminal guilt. It does, however, prove that law enforcement considered the matter serious enough to pursue arrest and seek a warrant. That alone shatters the fairy tale that this was all nothing.

Mills has publicly denied wrongdoing. In comments reported by the Washington Post in April 2026, he said the allegations were false and politically motivated. He has portrayed himself as the victim of smear tactics and has insisted he did nothing improper. Politicians in trouble always reach for the same script. First deny. Then deflect. Then cry conspiracy. Then hope the public attention span expires before the facts harden like cement.

The most troubling allegation beyond the conduct itself is that Mills allegedly concealed the restraining order when seeking political support from President Trump. I wrote on X that, “Rep. Cory Mills told the president that there was no restraining order against him in order to secure a presidential endorsement. Unfortunately, he LIED. There absolutely is a restraining order, Columbia County Florida on Oct 14 2025. 2025 DR 271 DV. Judge Fred Koberlein Jr. 500 feet from her and banned from online contact.” Lying to the President and others about his violent conduct, the restraining orders, the close calls of being arrested, and behavior is egregiously unacceptable.

The opposition report itself does not document any conversation with President Trump, so that specific claim remains external to the report. But the existence of the restraining order was publicly documented. If Mills represented otherwise to secure an endorsement, then the deception would be staggering in both scale and brazenness.

This is the recurring tragedy of modern politics. Some men campaign as Spartans and govern as actors. They boast of valor, discipline, and patriotism while their private lives resemble a smashed hotel room the morning following the after show party on a Guns ‘N Roses tour.

The Republican Party, and the nation, deserve better than counterfeit tough guys whose courage seems to vanish whenever truth enters the room. A man who bullies women is weak. A man who hides legal trouble is dishonest. A man who sells himself as iron while behaving like papier mâché deserves not applause, but exposure. Cory Mills built a brand around strength. The facts increasingly suggest fragility, vanity, and deceit hiding beneath the costume.

Another recent success from Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard has reignited efforts to oust her from the Trump administration in an effort led by deep state hacks who are playing beat the clock in an attempt to avoid prosecution for their capital crimes.

Gabbard released documents last week exposing the first Trump impeachment proceedings to be a complete and utter fraud. The documents showed that former Intelligence Community Inspector General Michael Atkinson refused to follow procedure as he investigated communications between President Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky — relying only on fabricated second-hand testimony to build the case for President Trump’s impropriety during what was in actuality a benign call.

“Deep state actors within the Intelligence Community concocted a false narrative that was used by Congress to usurp the will of the American people and impeach the duly-elected President of the United States,” Gabbard said. “Inspector General Atkinson failed to uphold his responsibility to the American people, putting political motivations over the truth. And this, along with the politicization of the whistleblower process by a former CIA employee who was working hand in glove with Democrats in Congress, are egregious examples of the deep state playbook on how to weaponize the Intelligence Community. Exposing these tactics and showing how they undermine the fabric of our democratic republic furthers the critical cause of transparency and accountability and will help prevent future abuse of power.”

While this is not news to those of us who have been following these developments since the outset, for the general public who may not be as well-informed, these disclosures are massive. They provide concrete, irrefutable proof of a conspiracy against President Trump coming from the highest levels of government. These are the types of efforts that are necessary to build credibility to get the public behind prosecutions against Biden and Obama-era officials so they will be able to stick. So why is Gabbard under the gun when she is leading the charge on such a monumental task to secure President Trump’s legacy?

Gabbard is under fire precisely because she is the most dedicated opponent of the deep state within the Trump administration. This is not the first time that she has been on the receiving end of a dishonest smear campaign meant to impugn her character and mute her influence. In Sept. 2025, Gabbard was blamed by the New York Times and Axios for no criminal charges being filed against CIA Director John Brennan because Gabbard wisely removed security clearances for disgraced deep state hacks – an absurd notion that is laughable on its face. RINO U.S. Sen. Tom Cotton of Arkansas is also leading a disgraceful effort to strip the DNI of its authority, giving unrestrained power to CIA and NSA bureaucrats free of Gabbard’s oversight.

Previously, Gabbard exposed sensitive documents that were previously kept under wraps by former National Intelligence Directors, including current CIA Director John Ratcliffe, showing that the genesis of Russia-gate went straight to the top, with former President Barack Hussein Obama having intimate knowledge of the conspiracy, and officials such as Brennan, Comey, former NSA Director James Clapper and others having knowingly pushed faulty intelligence.

The documents declassified by the DNI’s office showed that the faulty intelligence community (IC) assessment framing President Trump as a Russian asset was ordered during a Dec. 2016 meeting of the National Security Council at the direct request of President Obama. The effort was waged despite the IC’s determination that Russia was “probably not trying … to influence the election by using cyber means” and after post-election talking points were developed for DNI James Clapper stating that “foreign adversaries did not use cyberattacks on election infrastructure to alter the US Presidential election outcome.”

Gabbard has worked doggedly to put on the spotlight on the deep state actors and Democrat operatives who plotted Russia-gate as well as election fraud in 2020 where she appeared in person to oversee a raid of election documents at the infamous fraud center of Fulton County, Georgia. Gabbard has released all of the information needed to secure convictions against a host of high-level criminals. It is the officials in the DOJ who are slowrolling prosecutions. Those are the ones who should be pressured to act. Incomprehensibly, it is Gabbard who is under the gun.

The War Party has always it out for Gabbard. Once somewhat-laudable, now utterly-contemptible propaganda artist Laura Loomer—off her schizo meds and working in an official or unofficial capacity for the Netanyahu government—has waged a relentless campaign against Gabbard because of Gabbard’s noted skepticism against endless foreign wars. Gabbard has given no indication she does not support President Trump’s aggressive foreign policy agenda as Trump has made it clear, time and again, he does not plan on entrenched Middle Eastern conflicts. If anyone is trying to subvert President Trump’s foreign policy agenda, it is disingenuous neocons like Loomer who desperately agitate for the Iran conflict to become another forever war at Israel’s behest.

A particularly absurd op/ed was published in American Thinker titled, “It’s Time To Replace DNI Tulsi Gabbard.” The article was penned by Robert F. Turner, a career national security bureaucrat and Conservative Inc. thinktank stooge. It states that Gabbard deserves to be ousted from the Trump administration because she is not a career intelligence operative, used to be a Democrat, met with former Syrian President Bashar al-Assad for peace talks and showed inadequate support for Zelensky’s corrupt Ukrainian regime. Turner also irresponsibly speculated without a shred of evidence about Gabbard’s willingness to leak sensitive intelligence with America’s enemies.

Gabbard served her country diligently in the Hawaii Army National Guard. She served as a specialist with the Medical Company, 29th Support Battalion during a 12-month tour in Iraq—receiving a Combat Medical Badge, the Meritorious Service Medal from the United States and the German Armed Forces Badge for Military Proficiency for her heroic service. The notion that Gabbard would sell America out to the enemy because she does not adhere to the failed foreign policy orthodoxy is an insult not just to Gabbard but to all of America’s veterans.

The fact that Gabbard is not a toady for the military-industrial complex is what makes her uniquely qualified to lead the ODNI. She is not concerned about getting a cushy job with Raytheon or Lockheed Martin after she leaves Washington D.C. as that ship sailed many years ago. Gabbard has not had the ways of the CIA inculcated into her throughout her career and does not feel beholden to the system in the slightest. That is why she has declassified more documents than any intelligence community official in history.

MAGA must protect Gabbard against all the threats coming her way. She is an invaluable cog within the Administration. There are forces working constantly to sabotage any chance of any deep state criminals associated with Russia-gate, 2020 election fraud or any other of their nefarious, clandestine schemes from being locked behind bars. Nearly a year and a half into Trump’s second term, none of the crooks have even been forced to stand trial. Time is ticking, and Gabbard’s ouster would all but ensure that they escape culpability. The Deep State must be defanged, and Gabbard’s presence in ths administration is needed to accomplish this gargantuan task.

Right now, MAGA is undergoing turbulence at the most opportune time for Democrats and the enemies of America heading into the midterms. Much of the animus is being caused by different personalities on X airing their constant grievances, feuding with each other and attempting to draw others into their personal animus with disastrous results. It is a shame to see and could have dire effects on the midterms.

Meanwhile, patriots in the grassroots across the country remain in the trenches fighting on the issues that matter most for freedom, particularly the freedom for our most vulnerable. This is no more evident than in the movement for health freedom. Over one in four American children now live with a chronic illness. Autism rates have skyrocketed. President Trump has repeatedly called the spike in autism diagnoses among the most alarming developments in history.

The path to unity will not be easy, but it can begin by tackling this important issue that unites conservatives of all stripes, independents and even some liberals. This starts by securing a concrete reform to secure the right of parents to protect their children, the duty of government to deliver justice when that protection fails, and the refusal to let any industry write its own blank check at the expense of American families.

The 1986 National Childhood Vaccine Injury Act was supposed to be a grand bargain. In exchange for shielding pharmaceutical companies from ruinous lawsuits—so that vaccines could reach every child—Congress created the National Vaccine Injury Compensation Program, a no-fault court that promised swift, fair compensation for the devastating injuries that do occur from the administering of vaccines.

Critics warned that the limited-liability courts, even if well intentioned, would eventually be abused. By the late 1990s, their worst fears came to pass as CDC scientist Thomas Verstraeten’s early data suggested a possible link between certain vaccine schedules and neurological harm. After those findings were quietly reworked, encephalopathy and seizure disorder were quietly removed from the injury compensation table. The very conditions that could explain a post-vaccination autism diagnosis were erased from the list of compensable injuries.

The timing was not lost on parents. The first high-profile compensations—most famously the 2008 Hannah Poling case, in which the government conceded that vaccines had worsened a mitochondrial disorder leading to autism-like regression—exposed the loophole. Rather than expand accountability, federal officials on the Big Pharma dole narrowed it significantly. The results were catastrophic for families nationwide.

Parents who watched their healthy toddlers seize and regress into autism after routine shots suddenly found the courthouse door bolted. The diagnosis of “autism” itself was carved out of the table, even when the clinical picture was textbook encephalopathy—a disease that causes brain dysfunction. These children became victims of America’s corporate-driven public health regime, being denied the benefits promised to every other injured American as vaccines became the new religion—which became undeniable during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Restoring encephalopathy and seizure disorder to the table would strengthen the 1986 Act and restore it to its initial intent. It simply protects the program and would compensate the injured. A child who receives an autism diagnosis shortly after vaccination would once again be allowed to present evidence that the vaccine triggered the encephalopathy or seizures that produced the regression. Parents would have the right to challenge the diagnosis in vaccine court—the same right every other injured party enjoys. The change is narrow, targeted, and long overdue.

This single reform delivers a 360-degree victory for the America First agenda. First, it puts children first—exactly where President Trump has said they belong. Second, it delivers an immediate, tangible win for the Make America Healthy Again (MAHA) wing of the movement. RFK Jr.’s supporters have long demanded accountability without destroying vaccine access; this reform gives them that victory while keeping the liability shield intact. Third, it repairs the credibility of the 1986 Act itself. This is credibility that the public health regime desperately needs as an increasing number of parents now understandably distrust all vaccines and pharma products, which should be tools to alleviate disease and suffering.

Critics will inevitably call this reform “anti-vaccine.” That is a blatant falsehood. The reform does not question the overall benefit of vaccines. It simply acknowledges the biological reality that vaccines can ignite catastrophic injury. We do not ban cars because some people die in wrecks; we build airbags and seat-belt laws. We do not defund the military because friendly-fire tragedies happen; we honor the wounded and make sure those instances are less likely to happen in the future. The same moral logic applies here. The children who regress after vaccination are not collateral damage to be ignored. They are our children. Their parents are not conspiracy theorists; they are patriots demanding accountability from a bureaucracy that has proven itself to be cold and soulless.

Restoring the two diagnoses to the table is politically unifying because it is morally unifying. It tells every MAGA parent—urban or rural, college-educated or not—that this movement places their child’s neurological health above any industry’s profits. It tells the hesitant that health freedom is about eliminating vaccines; it is about ensuring there are no more hidden injuries, no more erased data, no more closed courthouse doors. It shows the pharmaceutical industry that the 1986 Act will no longer be abused, and their lobbyist influence can no longer rig the system.

President Trump has the moment. The Republican majorities are in place. The public is hungry for results that directly affect their lives. By directing HHS and the vaccine court to reinstate encephalopathy and seizure disorder on the injury table, President Trump can deliver perhaps the most unifying policy victory of his second term. He will protect the vaccine program, compensate the injured, restore parental trust, and give every MAGA patriot a victory they can explain to their neighbors by simply telling them: “We put your kids first.” This reform is simple. The politics are unifying. The principle is health freedom. The time is now.

If ambition could be decanted in a laboratory flask, aerated with vanity, sprayed with hair product, and marched directly from student government into a television studio, the result would look very much like Eric Swalwell. Born in Sac City, Iowa, and raised in Dublin, California, Swalwell was the son of a police officer and grew up in a household that seems to have prized order, respectability, advancement, and the polished appearances of upward mobility. He played sports, pursued the usual credentials, studied law, and followed that now drearily familiar route by which modern mediocrities are transformed into public men. Student government. Local office. Prosecutor’s résumé. Camera ready presentation. Poll tested indignation. He did not enter public life with the gravitas of a statesman, the scars of a soldier, the daring of an entrepreneur, or the intellectual distinction of a serious thinker. He arrived as something more synthetic, more curated, more focus grouped. He looked less like a leader than like a prototype assembled by consultants for the age of cable news.

Swalwell first entered politics through the Dublin City Council, a suitably modest launching pad for a career that would later become a monument to immodesty. In 2012 he challenged veteran Democratic Congressman Fortney Pete Stark, one of the more eccentric and abrasive old bulls of the House. Stark was not always graceful, but he was unmistakably real. Years later, extensive coverage erupted over Swalwell’s own domicile, his own residency, his own connection to California, and his own mortgage documents tied to Washington. The very cudgel he once used against Pete Stark came flying back toward his own forehead.

That irony is too rich to pass over quickly, because it says almost everything one needs to know about the man. When Swalwell sought the governorship of California, his eligibility became the subject of scrutiny and challenge amid allegations that he did not in fact maintain the sort of California domicile the office required. Questions swirled around his life in Washington, his use of a District of Columbia residence, and mortgage paperwork that reportedly described him as a DC resident. His candidacy was formally challenged on residency grounds and yet was ultimately allowed to proceed. The courts may have kept him on the ballot, but a legal ruling does not erase a political humiliation. The spectacle remained devastating. The man who rose in part by attacking Pete Stark for not truly living in the district found himself defending his own ties to the state he wished to govern. That is not a mere inconsistency. That is a farce of almost Shakespearean symmetry, with the added vulgarity of mortgage documents.

Once installed in Congress, Swalwell discovered the great secret of modern political advancement. Policy is slow. Governing is tedious. Legislative craftsmanship is obscure. But television rewards preening instantly. Cable news became his natural habitat because it rewarded not wisdom but performance, not seriousness but volume, not discernment but insinuation. Why labor over complex legislation when one can rush before a camera, arrange one’s face into theatrical alarm, and accuse one’s enemies of treachery? Swalwell became one of the most tedious fixtures of the anti Trump pageant, a man perpetually available for outrage, forever sprinting toward the nearest microphone with the urgency of a courtier desperate not to miss the royal banquet. He repeatedly insinuated that Donald Trump, Trump’s associates, and yes, yours truly, were compromised by Russia. He trafficked in the suggestion that I was a Russian asset, which was not merely false but ludicrous, the sort of smear that only a political culture marinated in hysteria could entertain for even a moment. He delivered such accusations with the smug assurance of a man who knew the press would applaud the charge and never demand the proof.

Then came Christine Fang, also known as Fang Fang, and with her one of the most delicious reversals in recent American political life. Axios reported that a suspected Chinese intelligence operative cultivated relationships with local and national politicians in California between 2011 and 2015, and that Swalwell was among those in her orbit. Fang fundraised, networked, attended events, and sought proximity to rising political figures. Swalwell later said he was shocked when the FBI briefed him and that he cut off contact. He has not been charged with wrongdoing in that matter. Fine. Let that be noted. But let the more important political truth be noted as well. The same man who had spent years clanging the bells of foreign compromise, flinging around accusations of Russian influence like confetti at a parade, found his own political circle penetrated by a suspected Chinese operative. One could scarcely write a more savage irony if one were drafting a political farce for the stage. The self appointed bloodhound of foreign infiltration became the butt of a scandal involving an alleged Chinese communist asset. Hypocrisy in Washington is common. On rare occasions it ripens into high art. This was one of those occasions.

Still, Washington protected him. That is one of the capital’s oldest habits. If a public figure remains useful to the correct faction, his embarrassments are softened, his scandals contextualized, his contradictions explained away as misunderstandings, and his humiliations padded with euphemism. Swalwell remained useful. He was a dependable anti Trump voice. He was photogenic enough for television. He was belligerent enough for partisan warfare. He had the dead eyed confidence of a man who mistakes a green room for a moral calling. So the press cushioned him. The party tolerated him. The machine kept turning. He continued his cable appearances, his solemn monologues, his prepackaged fury, his lectures on national security and civic decency, as if the Fang episode had not already made a mockery of his most cherished public persona.

But character has a way of collecting debts, and in time those debts come due with interest. The event that finally brought Eric Swalwell down was not the Fang scandal, not the residency embarrassment, and not his long record of sanctimony. It was the eruption of serious allegations of sexual misconduct and sexual assault during his gubernatorial campaign in 2026. According to reports cited by the Associated Press and Reuters, a former staffer accused Swalwell of sexually assaulting her on two occasions, including one alleged incident in a New York hotel in 2024 when she said she was too intoxicated to consent. CNN also reported additional allegations from other women, including claims involving unsolicited explicit messages or photos and other inappropriate conduct. Swalwell denied the most serious accusations. Reuters reported that he called them “absolutely false.” He also publicly acknowledged what he called “mistakes in judgment.” But by then the political avalanche had already begun.

This, then, is the point that cannot be blurred, softened, or passed over with vague euphemism. What brought Swalwell down was a cascading scandal of sexual misconduct allegations that detonated while he was running for governor of California. The allegations did not remain abstract whispers. They triggered concrete consequences. The Manhattan District Attorney’s (DA) office opened an investigation into one of the alleged assaults. The House Ethics Committee opened a probe as well. Democratic allies who had once praised his brilliance and future suddenly discovered the exquisite moral usefulness of distance. Endorsements vanished. Campaign chairs resigned. Support within the party collapsed with shocking speed. Adam Schiff withdrew his endorsement. Nancy Pelosi and other prominent Democrats urged that the matter be taken seriously. Over fifty former staffers reportedly called for his resignation. The same political class that had once treated Swalwell as a youthful lion of the resistance began to treat him as if he were radioactive waste in a tailored suit.

Swalwell first insisted he would stay in the race. Then he suspended his gubernatorial campaign. The Associated Press and Reuters both reported that he stepped back from the California race as the allegations mounted and as support evaporated around him. The San Francisco Chronicle reported that, because of filing deadlines, his name would still appear on the ballot even after his campaign ended. That is a fitting final indignity for a politician who spent so much of his life worshipping image. Even in withdrawal, the ghost of the candidacy lingered there on the ballot, a spectral reminder of an ambition that had outrun its own moral scaffolding.

Then came the final collapse. On April 13, 2026, Swalwell announced that he would resign from Congress. The Associated Press reported that his resignation came amid mounting pressure, after the House Ethics Committee opened its probe and after bipartisan calls for his departure intensified. Reuters likewise reported that he chose to quit under the weight of the allegations and the political turmoil they had unleashed. So let there be no ambiguity. He did not simply endure an embarrassing news cycle. He did not merely lose a few endorsements. He did not only suspend a campaign. He resigned from Congress itself after the allegations, after the investigation, after the withdrawal of support, after the moral posturing had finally boomeranged into personal catastrophe.

There is a grim and almost mathematical beauty in the pattern. Eric Swalwell accused others of foreign compromise while his own orbit was tainted by scandal involving a suspected Chinese operative. He climbed over Pete Stark by attacking questions of domicile and residence, only to face his own residency controversy when he sought the governorship. In the end, performance could not save him, cameras could not cleanse him, and the applause of partisans could not protect him.

Swalwell was never merely partisan. Many politicians are partisan. He was something more irritating and more revealing. He was smug. He was glib. He was one of those insufferable public men who mistake media validation for virtue and social media momentum for history’s blessing. He represented the worst habits of our degraded age, an age in which a man can become nationally famous not for building anything admirable, defending anything noble, or discovering anything true, but for appearing repeatedly on television with an expression of caffeinated moral alarm. He became a mascot for a whole class of ambitious mediocrities who rise not through greatness but through shamelessness, not through statesmanship but through a kind of lubricated opportunism that passes for sophistication among the permanently online and the permanently partisan.

And that is why his fall resonates beyond the man himself. The rise and fall of Eric Swalwell is not merely the story of one congressman brought low. A graduate of Christopher Newport University, she previously interned on Capitol Hill before serving in the White House Office of Legislative Affairs and later as Meadows’s assistant. In June 2022, at just 25 years old, she became one of the most publicized witnesses before the January 6 Committee, transforming a junior staff résumé into a media celebrity profile almost overnight.

The saga of Cassidy Hutchinson is a series of episodes that continues to reverberate through the political and media landscape, raising enduring questions about truth, motive, and accountability. From the outset, Hutchinson’s surprise appearance before the January 6 Committee in June of 2022 was treated by much of the corporate press as a revelatory moment. Her testimony, delivered with dramatic cadence and framed by then Representative Liz Cheney, was immediately canonized as fact rather than examined as allegation. Yet as I have written repeatedly on StoneZONE, the core claims she advanced, particularly those involving myself and General Michael Flynn, collapse under even modest scrutiny.

In my article published on September 25, 2023, I stated that Cassidy Hutchinson’s testimony that President Trump directed Mark Meadows to call General Flynn and me on January 5, 2021, to find out what was going to happen on January 6th is a complete fabrication, a statement I made in that StoneZONE article on that date.

Let us be precise. Hutchinson claimed that then Chief of Staff Mark Meadows sought to attend a so-called war room meeting at the Willard Hotel and, dissuaded by her, instead received a telephonic briefing from General Flynn and me. This narrative, repeated endlessly in media echo chambers, is not merely inaccurate, it is impossible. I have stated unequivocally, and repeatedly, that I had no such communication with Meadows. General Flynn has confirmed the same. There was no call. There was no coordination. I was never aware of any “war room” at the Willard, only hearing later there was some sort of “war room” hosted by Steve Bannon and Rudy Giuliani. In another StoneZONE piece dated August 17, 2024, I reiterated that the claim that I was involved in any war room effort to delay the Electoral College certification is a lie, that there was no such call, no such meeting, and no such involvement, a statement I made in that StoneZONE article on that date.

The significance of this cannot be overstated. Hutchinson’s testimony was not firsthand knowledge but hearsay, layers of purported conversations relayed through intermediaries, presented as fact under oath. That distinction matters profoundly in any legal or investigative context, yet it was conveniently ignored in the political theater of the moment.

Even more troubling is the pattern that followed. In 2023, Hutchinson surfaced again with a new allegation, this time accusing Rudy Giuliani of sexual assault stemming from January 6, 2021. The claim emerged more than two years after the alleged incident, coinciding with the promotion of her book, and notably without corroborating witnesses. As I wrote at the time in my September 25, 2023 StoneZONE article, this is not the first time she has lied, and the timing of this accusation, years later and tied to a book release, raises serious questions about credibility.

The pattern is unmistakable. Dramatic claims amplified by media allies followed by a conspicuous absence of verifiable evidence.

Today, in 2026, the narrative surrounding Hutchinson has shifted. What was once treated as untouchable testimony is now under renewed examination. Reports circulating across political media and social platforms indicate that House Republicans have called for a formal review of her statements under oath, with some openly discussing potential perjury implications. Commentary programs and investigative segments have revisited the inconsistencies in her account, particularly the now well documented absence of any communication between Meadows, Flynn, and myself.

This evolving scrutiny reflects a broader recalibration. The American public, having witnessed years of sensational claims later contradicted or debunked, is increasingly wary of narratives that rely more on theatrics than evidence. Hutchinson’s story, once elevated as definitive, is now viewed by many as emblematic of a larger problem, the weaponization of testimony for political ends.

None of this is to suggest that scrutiny should be partisan or selective. On the contrary, the standard must be uniform. The saga of Steve Bannon and Peter Navarro stands as a vivid illustration of that inversion, a study in contrast where calculated defiance is confused for courage and genuine consequence is overshadowed by theatrical self promotion.

Steve Bannon cultivated an image of embattled populist martyrdom, but his conduct reflects something far more performative than principled. His contempt of Congress citation became a stage upon which he constructed a narrative of persecution, a carefully choreographed production designed to amplify his profile rather than resolve his legal obligations. His brief imprisonment was transformed into a curated spectacle of contrived courage, a display designed to persuade the public that he was enduring something noble rather than something avoidable.

The key point is straightforward. He could have simply asserted his Fifth Amendment rights, appeared, and fulfilled his legal obligations as General Michael Flynn and myself among others did. Instead, he chose confrontation over compliance and crafted an image of resistance that relied heavily on omission and theatrics. That decision was neither courageous nor compelled. It was calculated.

Bannon’s broader record compounds the concern. He has been associated with multiple high profile fundraising efforts and ventures that drew scrutiny, including the fraudulent “We Build the Wall” initiative, which resulted in federal charges later mooted by a presidential pardon, and subsequent state level proceedings in New York that ended in a plea agreement without incarceration. These episodes, alongside his involvement in media ventures and financial enterprises tied to controversial figures and complex funding structures, contribute to a portrait that critics argue reflects opportunism rather than integrity.

His associations have also drawn sustained public attention. Reports have documented his past interactions with Jeffrey Epstein in a media advisory capacity during 2017 to 2019, a relationship that has been widely criticized given Epstein’s criminal history. While not criminally charged in connection with that association, the proximity itself has raised questions about judgment and discernment.

At the same time, Bannon benefited from legal and political circumstances that allowed him to avoid extended incarceration. He was pardoned in 2021 for federal charges related to fundraising activities, and later resolved state charges through a negotiated plea that resulted in a conditional discharge rather than prison time. The pattern is unmistakable. He repeatedly navigated perilous legal terrain without suffering the full weight of the consequences that others in similar situations endured.

Contrast this with Peter Navarro, an economist and policy advisor whose approach was markedly more distinguished in tone and outcome. Navarro did not transform his legal predicament into a media spectacle. His imprisonment was not stylized or staged. It was direct, punitive, and real. Where Bannon cultivated an image, Navarro absorbed a sentence.

A federal judge on Tuesday issued a ruling blocking further construction work on President Trump’s privately-funded $400 million ballroom at the White House, claiming congressional authorization would be needed to complete the project.

Judge Richard Leon, an appointee to the bench by George W. Bush, who has establishment Republican bonafides going back to the 1970s, ruled that the executive branch does not have authority to proceed with such a structural upgrade on federal property without approval from Congress. President Trump took to Truth Social to express his dismay with Judge Leon’s decision, citing its inconsistency with the precedent of other great executives.

“In the Ballroom case, the Judge said we have to get Congressional approval. He is WRONG! Congressional approval has never been given on anything, in these circumstances, big or small, having to do with construction at the White House. In this case, even less so, because the Ballroom is being built with Private Donations, no Federal Taxpayer Money!” President Trump said.

The facts bear out President Trump’s narrative. The White House has been changed throughout its history by various presidents, who have regularly made alterations to the iconic national building without requesting explicit Congressional permission.

Under President Theodore Roosevelt in 1902, the West Wing was constructed to separate official workspaces from the family residence. This was a major structural addition, which Roosevelt framed as a functional improvement to an already overcrowded building. Ultimately, Roosevelt’s addition was proven to be non-controversial over time as the West Wing is now perhaps the most noteworthy part of the White House.

Franklin D. Roosevelt later expanded the West Wing further and added the modern Oval Office, which has become an integral part of Americana. During World War II, FDR also oversaw construction of the East Wing, partly justified for security and operational needs. These projects were generally accepted as necessary alterations tied to presidential duties, similar to President Trump’s proposal at the present time.

Under Harry S. Truman, the White House underwent its most dramatic transformation. From 1948 to 1952, the interior of the Executive Mansion was completely gutted and rebuilt, leaving only the exterior walls intact. The project was justified under maintenance and safety concerns, as the building had become structurally unsound. Perhaps the critics would have been more happy if the building collapsed while Truman waited for piddling members of Congress to get around to approving the renovations instead.

Subsequent presidents in the modern era have continued to make changes under the same legal authority. Ronald Reagan oversaw updates to wiring, security systems, and structural elements. Bill Clinton and George W. Bush implemented technological upgrades and security expansions after evolving threats. Barack Obama approved modernization projects, including energy efficiency upgrades and interior renovations. All of these instances make it clear that there is nothing unprecedented about what President Trump is proposing.

I then get sued by them over the renovation of the dilapidated and structurally unsound former Kennedy Center,” President Trump wrote on Truth Social.

“Yet, The National Trust for Historic Preservation, a Radical Left Group of Lunatics whose funding was stopped by Congress in 2005, is not suing the Federal Reserve for a Building which has been decimated and destroyed, inside and out, by an incompetent and possibly corrupt Fed Chairman. The once magnificent Building is BILLIONS over budget, may never be completed, and may never open,” President Trump continued.

Following the ruling, the Trump administration indicated it plans to appeal the decision. They certainly should, as lawfare meant to limit the majesty of President Trump’s proposed ballroom are attempts to destroy his legacy. President Trump’s past as a developer deserves to be woven into the very fabric of our nation. An improvement to the White House that will allow thousands of people to further enjoy the White House as the people’s house provides value throughout time immemorial. Bureaucrats and activist judges must not be allowed to stand in the way of true progress.
