Pope Pope Leo XIV has more higher priority issues than AI on which to focus. Like Trump, he must cancel his predecessor’s social, Marxist, and pro-trans policies and return the Catholic Church to normalcy! Even though this would affect a small percentage of traditional Catholics, He should make his first move by allowing the Tridentine Mass to be celebrated around the world. This would be a good start to coalesce all Catholics!

I am hopeful that this Pope stays out of politics. His mainline is the Catholic Church, not Washington, DC. Amen

I pray the same. May Pope Leo XIV truly be led by the Holy Spirit not by political trends or pressures, but by the unchanging truth of Scripture. While many are hopeful because of his moderate tone or past political comments, what the Church needs most is a shepherd who stands firmly on God’s Word. Leadership rooted in biblical truth, not worldly influence, is what will truly serve both the Church and the world.

I saw a video this morning (can't find it now) showing the new Pope greeting people and shaking their hands but he seemed to deliberately turn his back on a group that was displaying a large rainbow flag.

I'm all for the church welcoming everyone to hear and respond to the gospel and hear Bible teaching, but isn't the problem with the catholic church "blessing" same sex marriages the risk of giving people assurance of being in right standing with God when they aren't, misleading them, when scripture is clear that Jesus will say to some, "Why do you call me Lord Lord, but do not do what I say." and "Many will say to me 'Lord, Lord!' and I will say 'depart from me. I never knew you.'"? It just seems even the catholic church has fallen into the protestant error of the 'easy gospel and live any way you please' vs. the Billy Graham / John MacArthur "Lordship Salvation" gospel which includes repentance and a change of stance of surrendering to God in obedience to his clear commands (the gay church always falsely claims scripture has been tampered with or doesn't mean what it clearly says about homosexuality).

Conflating Traditional Catholicism with Conservative Catholicism is an uninformed and out of touch position. Conservative Catholics in the Novus Ordo parishes are the most intolerant of all when it comes to the Traditional Latin Mass. This is a fact. Conservative non-Trad Catholics are typically Vatican II hardliner papalists who believe the pope must be obeyed in all proclamations, even if they go against official Church teaching. It’s that sort of hypocrisy that drives young Catholics to the TLM. The rest of us just want a Mass that looks like the Mass, and to receive the Eucharist with reverence and dignity. We don’t want a Lutheran wannabe Sunday Service. We’re all waiting with bated breath for Leo XIV’s position on TLM parishes.

My "gut feeling" is that the litmus test of this new Pope will be his attitude toward the Tridentine Mass. It's like Holy Water on the devil. In the Roman world of Jesus' time same sex unions had the sanction of demi-gods like Hercules, heros like Achilles, and generals like Alexander. There is not even the remotest hint in the Bible of Jesus blessing, let alone consecrating, homosexual unions of any kind.
