As I understand it, President Reagan begged OPEC to flood the market with oil in return for supplying them with military hardware. This lowered the price of oil to the extent that it bankrupted the Soviet Union.

Great interview and it sounds like an intriguing book! It also got me thinking about how Trump came in on the heels of the Ron Paul movement. For Trump, God and Constitution, Peace and Prosperity, lower taxes and higher paying jobs, and a Common Sense approach to social problems.
