President Donald Trump Sticks It to the Neocons with Peace Deal in Iran
President Donald Trump has officially shut the door on the potential for a war with Iran, announcing a ceasefire that officially brought an end to the U.S. involvement in the Israel/Iran conflict.
President Donald Trump has officially shut the door on the potential for a war with Iran, announcing a ceasefire that officially brought an end to the U.S. involvement in the conflict between Israel and Iran.
"Both Israel and Iran wanted to stop the War, equally!" Trump said in a Truth Social post. "It was my great honor to Destroy All Nuclear facilities & capability, and then, STOP THE WAR!"
The ceasefire between Israel and Iran has been tenuous, with President Trump inserting himself in the process to ensure it goes as smoothly as possible. President Trump stated that Iran and Israel "have been fighting for so long that they don't know what the f*ck they're doing,” not an indicator that President Trump has an appetite to get the U.S. further involved.
President Trump’s wise decision has deflated the hopes of the neoconservatives. The neocon interventionists saw President Trump’s decisive bombing campaign to devastate Iran’s nuclear program as their opportunity to push for full-blown war. Fox News ran wall-to-wall war propaganda like it was 2003 all over again with repellent vulture Mark Levin being the head cheerleader for senseless death and destruction in the Middle East. They saw an opportunity to turn the dial back to Bush-ism and were intent on seizing upon it.
Even long-time Trump haters like Bill Kristol and Jonah Goldberg began to offer faint praise for Trump, hoping they could coax him into starting a war with Iran. However, the Trump doctrine in the Middle East is built around the firm principle of resisting regime change wars. Trump is an interventionist but only to a certain extent, learning from the many recent foreign policy failures from the past. Trump’s foreign policy has a clear objective, obtains that objective and then gets out before U.S. military personnel can be adversely affected.
Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) rambled on for approximately 30 minutes on the Senate floor fear mongering about Iran, demanding that the U.S. play a role in fomenting regime change in the country.
"What happens in the next few days is going to determine the course of history for the state of Israel and the region for decades to come. To our friends in Israel: finish the job! Do what you have to do to bring about the regime change to allow your children to sleep through the night. To the American people: wake up! Understand what we're fighting. The Ayatollah's not normal. These are not normal people," Sen. Graham said during his speech.
Additionally, there has been a concerted effort to pit President Trump against Gabbard to alienate one of the most credible, sane and rational voices in his administration. The neocons and deep staters want Trump to be siloed where he only can obtain counsel from the Washington D.C. swamp. This is one of the ways they attempt to control and manipulate Trump, but Trump is too savvy to fall for their traps.
“Only President Trump could have achieved this historic ceasefire agreement that brings us closer to peace. It was a herculean effort that deserves the thanks of all the people of Israel, Iran, Middle East, America—the entire world. Congratulations and thank you,” Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard wrote after the announcement of the ceasefire.
Individuals like Tucker Carlson and Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene are being unfairly cast by some as traitors to MAGA for voicing their concern about war with Iran. These people are patriots, not panicans. They used their platforms to ensure that the mistakes of the past were not repeated. They heeded the call to stand against the neocons desperate to dupe MAGA into accepting a new forever war and should be commended for their bravery in this regard.
What occurred throughout the conflict was a healthy debate between passionate free thinkers who care deeply about the future of their country. MAGA is often called a cult by its deriders, but that was proven to be decisively false during the midst of the 12 Day War. There is a great diversity of thought among the MAGA movement, but what should be remembered after this debate is that President Trump always deserves the benefit of the doubt. President Trump has time and again made it clear that he will not be initiating regime change wars, he is not a proponent of Bush-ism, and he deserves the full trust of his supporters.
No matter what propaganda may be insipidly spewed on Fox News, President Trump’s deescalation with Iran is a massive loss for the neocons. This was their golden opportunity to push for a new forever war. They have been wanting to depose Iran for decades and thought they could manipulate President Trump into doing their bidding. President Trump responded by slamming the door in their faces. This will always be an America First administration, and the neocons are powerless to alter that fact.
I cannot THANK YOU enough, Mr . Stone, for your forceful clarity on these critical matters!!! Jesus loves you!
Every time I hear Lindsey "Lead from behind" Grahamnesty talk about sending more Americans to war half-way around the world, I cringe. It is a good day when we can just do a quick bombing run and get back safely without having to put boots on the ground.
