If we are to rejuvenate our Republic, we simply cannot allow Unelected , Politically Motivated, Robed Dictators to rule us. Donald J. Trump is Everyman and he has the authority granted by The People to take measures to preserve the Constitution against ALL enemies Foreign and DOMESTIC.

Excellent article and historical perspective.

I believe there is some dispute about whether Jackson actually made that comment, but I wish that he had.

Constitutional due process is implied by the Bill of Rights, because they are exogenous to any political system (from the laws of nature and nature's God), so they restrict the feasible region implied by the partition of the 10th Amendment: 9th Amendment protected, state jurisdiction, or federal jurisdiction. The intersection of any two of the partitions is the null set.

By the Bill of Rights, and the Declaration of Independence, Trump has the right of federal intervention if and only if bad state government actors take away the expectations of self-defense. Actually, self-love is the primary canon of the law of society and for justifiable homicide, as John Adams argued in The Boston Massacre Trial of 1770. Self-defense follows from self-love as described by Adams.

John Locke's 2nd Treatise of Civil Government (1690) is foundational for the USA, and known to Voltaire, Montesquieu, Jefferson, etc.

Chapter 9, Section 131:

"But though men when they enter into society give up the equality, liberty, and executive power they had in the state of Nature into the hands of the society, to be so far disposed of by the legislative as the good of the society shall require, yet it being only with an intention in every one the better to preserve himself, his liberty and property (for no rational creature can be supposed to change his condition with an intention to be worse), the power of the society or legislative constituted by them can never be supposed to extend farther than the common good, but is obliged to secure every one's property by providing against those three defects above mentioned that made the state of Nature so unsafe and uneasy. And so, whoever has the legislative or supreme power of any commonwealth, is bound to govern by established standing laws, promulgated and known to the people, and not by extemporary decrees, by indifferent and upright judges, who are to decide controversies by those laws; and to employ the force of the community at home only in the execution of such laws, or abroad to prevent or redress foreign injuries and secure the community from inroads and invasion. And all this to be directed to no other end but the peace, safety, and public good of the people.

While it is true that the courts are corrupt, politicized and broken, wouldn't Trump ignoring the courts be playing right into his enemies' hands, handing them a lot of large-caliber ammunition? I'm no constitutional scholar, but surely there has to be a better way?

Common sense, here, it’s good to see this spelled out.

Yet, it would take the courage of an Andrew Jackson or an Abraham Lincoln to stand up to our, out of control, court system, today.

Chat gpt, this can't possibly be true … can it?

“Yes, the claim in the image is accurate: All 11 of the so-called "fake electors" for Donald Trump in Arizona were indicted and charged with state crimes related to an alleged scheme to falsely certify Trump as the winner of Arizona’s electoral votes in the 2020 election. The indictments, issued in April 2024, cover charges such as conspiracy, fraudulent schemes, forgery, and related offenses. The charges are part of an 18-person indictment, which also includes Trump aides and advisers; President Trump himself was not charged but was named as an unindicted co-conspirator.”

And you morons think he's the god guy?
