What will RFK do?
I do think RFK has a historic opportunity to pull our country back from the brink of disaster and begin to unravel the extraordinary abuses of law by our intelligence agencies.
Robert F. Kennedy Junior's vice-presidential running Nicole Shanahan set off a media frenzy when she candidly suggested that RFK Jr. was considering abandoning his independent candidacy — and might well endorse Donald Trump.
After Senator Robert F. Kennedy was assassinated, Governor Nelson Rockefeller of New York appointed upstate congressman, Charles Goodell, father of the current NFL commissioner to the U.S. Senate.
Goodell, who was a relatively conservative, upstate congressman, swang hard to the left in his opposition to the Vietnam war and the Nixon administration.
The race however, was a competitive three-way race, with Democrats nominating Uber-rich, Westchester Congressman Richard Ottinger and the Conservative party nominating James L Buckley, brother of William, F. Buckley Junior, who had been the conservative party nominee for the US Senate in 1968 against Republican Jacob Javits and Democrat Paul O’Dwyer.
Goodell signalled that he was considering withdrawing from the race and bought airtime to announce his decision, resulting in a huge audience. Goodell then announced that he would not withdraw — but garnered millions of dollars of publicity.
Ultimately Buckley would send Vice President Spiro Agnew to New York to attack Goodell — moving votes from Ottinger to Goodell and allowing Jim Buckley to be the first conservative party candidate elected to the US Senate.
In 2004 billionaire Tom Golisano, who spent $125 million of his own money in an independent bid for governor of New York, and who had passed on to Democrat McCall in the race for governor that he was considering withdrawing from the race and bought airtime for his announcement. McCall publicly called on Golisano to endorse him. Instead, the Maverick billionaire announced in his television address that he would remain in the race garnering millions of dollars’ worth of free publicity.
Since it was Shanahan, rather than RFK himself who said that he was considering withdrawing in endorsing Trump, and with the hype around RFK's Friday television address my first instinct was that this could be a very clever head fake.
But now I don't think so. While I disagree with RFK on many issues such as abortion and climate change, I do think that he is keenly aware of the inherent evil of the deep state in view of their role killing his uncle President John F. Kennedy and his father Senator Robert F. Kennedy.
Like his father before him, RFK is an ardent anti-Communist who has courageously opposed shipping billions more to Ukraine, and also supports sealing our borders, to stop the invasion of millions of illegals.
There is wide speculation that RFK could serve in a future Trump administration, but where? Appointment of RFK as the secretary of HHS would require US Senate confirmation which given the enormous financial power and influence of big Pharma could be problematic.
Needless to say, RFK would also be good at the FDA or NIH.
While RFK would make an excellent attorney general — his position in favor of late term abortion would drive evangelical Christians from trump's necessary coalition.
The answer might lie in RFK serving as the Director of the Central Intelligence Agency. This vital position does not require US Senate confirmation.
RFK could not only expose the hidden secrets of Langley and their involvement in the murder of both his uncle and his father, but he could also get to the bottom of who tried to murder President Donald Trump in Butler, Pennsylvania...
Some distrust between Trump and RFK may have been fostered when Trump made a courtesy call to RFK which members of Kennedy's family promptly leaked.
Now, however, that the full potential for a Deep State-driven Kamala Harris presidency is a very real danger to America. RFK could play a pivotal role in ensuring that Trump wins what is shaping up to be a competitive election in which those who manipulated the 2020 election can be counted on to try to manipulate our upcoming presidential contest.
The union of Trump and RFK would have the immediate impact of halting any momentum that Harris and Walz derive from the Democrat National Convention and would up-end the presidential contest.
RFK's wife, actress Cheryl Hines, who is substantially more liberal than he is, is reportedly dead-set against a Trump endorsement. RFK's running mate Nicole Shanahan, who has the ability to fund RFK's political future is said to be inclined to throw in with Trump in an effort to save the nation from a Kamala Harris presidency.
One proposal floated is that RFK would cease his efforts to get on the ballot in swing states but remain on the ballot in the other states where his candidacy is unlikely to have a substantial negative impact on Trump. This makes little sense to me. In fact, if RFK were to end his campaign, how exactly he would get his name off the ballot in the states where he has been certified as a candidate is a tangled and problematic legal question.
What will happen? I don't claim to know, but I do think RFK has a historic opportunity to pull our country back from the brink of disaster and begin to unravel the extraordinary abuses of law by our intelligence agencies.
In short, I pray that RFK makes the right decision and will endorse President Donald Trump.
I apologize for the spelling errors on this post. They have been corrected!
I generally dictate articles through text to speech and then have them edited. Unfortunately a draft was accidentally inputted and published.
Checks have been put in place to prevent this from happening in the future.
So do I! I join your prayers in him doing the right thing!
