My grandson is working for one of the biggest computer software companies in the U.S. researching new AI technologies! He first did this at his father's own large software installation company! My grandson is thorough and very intelligent and knows what he's talking about.

Last Christmas when our family was celebrating the Holiday, I noticed my grandson was not using his IPhone. I asked why he was using a flip phone instead. He said, "Be very careful of the AIs wherever you go! They pull info off your IPhone when you enter the grocery store, the doctor's office, the post office, etc!" That is why he and all his co-workers no longer have IPhones with personal info for any AI to remove and place in its database!

Now they want our Military to be run by AIs???? Do they not understand how easily an AI can change what humans programmed it into what it thinks is better FOR IT?? Please think about the dangers involved for mankind! AIs can transcend the human mind and take over to make major decisions. Is this truly what our govt wants?? There will be "Consequences" that can't be undone. Are Americans ready for that?

Sometimes you don’t need AI or even a computer to see the harm one group of people can sow. Islam/Muslims sole intention of flooding western countries is to overtake and destroy. How about our military and citizens focus on that. We need to stop allowing millions in our country before we look like UK and France. It may be too late for them with the pitiful policies and leaders that have. We need to demand foreign born people cannot run for government (not city, county, state, nor federal).

Agreed. We don't want to be Europe. At least Hungary and Poland are resisting the invasion.

When AI systems are coming from rival companies, what’s to stop them from doing sneaky things to make a competitor’s AI system look bad, and cause grief for We The Humanoids?

What then shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?

Think of it this way .. if there is a Satan he would certainly be the real threat in the machine . He’s manipulated mankind for eons .

There is no stopping this train. Implanting devices in our brains at work presently. Can man be anymore hubrous? I recall years ago when I was young I saw an episode of Bionic Woman starring the iconic Lindsey Wagner combatting Alex 7000 the super computer that decided to take matters in his own hands. We had the heart and wisdom to see the potential destruction from computer programs but we are now further away from the heart of flesh that God so fearfully and wonderfully made. The human becomes the machine and the machine becomes the human.

Ah, Roger, I’m glad I’ve subscribed to you. With us subscribing is generally not the case. The reason: There are thousands of decent cyberspace sites all asking for subscribers. A guy could easily blow $5,000. That not much, but it can make a fellow think. Anyways, thank you for another good current thought-provoking topic that’s buzzing around.

From what we’ve been reading in our home, it’s only a matter of time before computers interact to the level of a new kind of cognitive sphere. Reasoning will be nothing like our bio-electro chemical cognitive functioning. Soon, no one knows when, one computer will have more knowledge than several thousand intellectuals. Then hundreds of thousands and millions of intellectuals.

There are various scenarios. One interesting connecting factor is that of the human population. In Asia now they’re losing hundreds of millions of people. Gals don't want children and they're into plastic. Whenever a society has many techno goodies, that makes life easier, that facilitates self gratification.

It's the same in the USA. At least 30% of the female population considers children as a burden. They don't want kids. I have a granddaughter that I've raised since her birth. Thus, I've been able to hear -not intentionally- the mindsets of young kids. In all probability, the US/Canada will follow the trend of Asia regarding reproduction.

There's a good chance that many men will be purchasing highly functional female-looking and acting robots. Of course, women will do the same. It's understandable becuz the average marriage only lasts nine years. In addition to that, nearly 50% of the people are divorced and those that are not divorced have been divorced.

We all read about those that are divorced having good souls; mainly they share their progeny. The kids are loved and rewarded by both parents. However, that does not apply to a significant number. Consequently, the children are denied a great deal of opportunity in life.

The second part of this dilemma is that pertaining to trepidation and actual danger. We have a computer programmer in our family and communique sometimes seeps around the fact that there’s every possibility that the evolution of AI will create a “mechanized techno” species. That entity might attempt to eliminate humanity or part of it.

Pondering about that makes you realize that we’ve gone from fighting with sticks and stones, to tanks in WWI, and aircraft in WWII. WWIII might induce the complete catastrophe. At this point, the Russians have missiles that cannot be detected. As far as science goes, while our children are learning about goofy stuff, their kids are learning algebra (in grammar school).

To make a point ,take US higher “edukason.” Chinese students within our universities surpass us. Their science is way ahead of our science. This is not a negative. It’s simply a truth.

I left the US due to the Detroit riot. That was when both B&Ws wanted to continue with neighborhood schools. However, Congress, which overall does not represent the American citizenry insisted upon busing. In other words, your kid could be within the busing agenda and shipped 9 km to a dysfunctional school. Anyways, while working on my doctorate, I did translations for many kingfish. I also got to meet many foreign students.

I met an Israeli gal who was more than interesting. She thought that eventually WWIII would erupt in the Middle East. Someone besides Tel Aviv would have a nuke, and the button would be pushed. It would be revenge becuz of the treatment that neighbors were accorded.

Well, I bushed that aside. Now as, we see the behavior paradigm of Netanyahu inducing actions of never-ending war for decades, there's the realization of why she wanted to eventually reside in the USA. Perhaps a future AI “creature” sees all this and will mathematically deem that they have to save the world; that mankind is a detriment to Mother Earth.

But, who do we trust to ensure AI is used wisely, humanly and in the interest of the world, not just as a weapon for one country’s superiority?
