What an exquisite tribute to this rarely mentioned aspect of Churchill's wartime leadership--his elegant, commanding and unmistakably individualistic style. Just wish you'd posted more photos of the great man in his classic attire, Roger!

Obama seemed to really hate Sir Winston Churchill. He saved Britain and Europe . President Trump highly regards Mr. Churchill. He brought the bust of Churchill back to the Oval Office after bo had him removed. Speaks volumes about the contrast between President Trump and bo.

Churchill’s style worked because it was inseparable from the man. The bow tie, the Homburg, the cigar, the waistcoat, the siren suit—each became part of a visual language of command. He knew people needed symbols during crisis. A slovenly leader tells a nation to sag. A polished leader tells it to stand upright. That is why Churchill mattered beyond speeches. He looked like Britain refusing to kneel. Modern politicians dress like consultants, influencers, or HR managers. Churchill dressed like civilization had a fighting chance. Style, when joined to courage, becomes armor. Churchill wore his armor well.

Well stated Roger. As a med sales rep most of my career I dressed for success n influence n to own the room....lacking so much today. Ppl cant even dress for church, funerals n weddings...sadly t- hirts shorts n flip flops prevail. Love Win Churchill...his most poignant quote: " Muhammedism in a man is worse than rabies in a dog".! PS.. you do great dance moves too.. Scott S Bloomington Mn...(DFL party land of Death- FRAUD- Leftists... )

Thank you, Mr. Stone, for this interesting insight to Winston Churchill's attire. It would have been even more so with pictures of said items, if you had them. Interesting character, no doubt. Thank you again.

What a symbol of resistance. A true heroic visionary that utilized strong rhetoric to galvanize resilience - victory at all cost. Where would we be if Churchill rewarded Hitler with appeasement? A literary genius who earned the Nobel Prize in literature. May his imprint be realized in President Trump as he strategically, with colorful language and unpredictability, bring victory in defeating Hitleresque terrorists, foreign and domestic.

Reminds me of how Humphrey Bogart's character was dressed in the movie "Sabrina"...there will never be another Sir Winston Churchill...but he also wore a workman's jumpsuit when he was laying bricks and doing other jobs around Charters...

One can only imagine a meeting between Churchill and the sissified protocol droid who now resides at 10 Downing Street!
