An assassin nearly killed Donald Trump in front of the country. Washington does not get to shrug and move on. Roger Stone is right to keep pressing, and Trump is entitled to demand answers about the investigation into his own attempted murder. If evidence disappeared, identify what vanished, who controlled it, and whether somebody deliberately destroyed it. Prosecute any proven criminal conduct. I will not substitute suspicion for proof, but neither will I accept bureaucratic excuses for failures this catastrophic. Corey Comperatore’s family and the wounded Americans deserve answers. Trump’s survival cannot become Washington’s excuse to bury the reckoning.
How Wray and the former head of the Secret Service at the time got away with both incompetence in doing their jobs and then concealing evidence needs to be investigated for crimes committed by them.
Both parents were licensed professional counselors; I wonder if they have been investigated at some level. It is surprising that they refused cremation for their son due to cost, and the father's narrative sounds so detailed and well thought out. They may be totally innocent, but confirming that might help with sorting through everything.
The cost of cremation is substantially less expensive than a burial. So that comment from the father does not make any sense. And anonymous donor? I would assume that the mortuary has paperwork showing how this was paid for via a wire transfer or did someone show up with a bag full of cash? If cash was left or delivered I’d bet there is camera video somewhere. Yep all just too convenient.
I would think that as "licensed professional counselors" at least one of them would have recognized something off with their son. Certainly their competence would have been investigated, IE what were they licensed for, were they competent etc. etc?
Also it's very suspicious that the roof top crime scene was quickly cleaned up, then followed by the cremation of the suspected assassin's body...

There was one point that doesn't make sense in the article: Why would the Beaver County investigators be on the scene when the incident was in Butler County? They are two different, but bordering, counties. The distance from Beaver to Butler (the cities) is about 45 miles by mostly two-lane road through five cities.
There are still too many unanswered questions about the incident. Why many details remain classified is bizarre, since the (alleged) shooter is already dead, and plenty of information about the incident is missing. It's like they are hiding blank pages.
Nothing was working. Communications down, secret service and law enforcement drones etc etc but by golly the garden hose worked that federal law enforcement used to hose off the roof of the shed after crooks body so quickly moved. When does federal law enforcement do the actual clean up of crime scenes? Don’t they contract that out to crime scene cleanup companies after the crime scene throughly investigated?
