Without a doubt MAGA should support Musk. While erratic and often intemperate Musk has a brilliance about the future few can appreciate. The answer is for Trump to apologize. Elon had every right to disagree with him about the big beautiful bill and DJ T instead of saying that, and just confirming that they disagree on this one topic, instead, DJ T insulted him personally. Elon’s personal insults didn’t start until after Trump went there. It is Trump’s fault. No excuse excuses.
I support DJ T today as much as I ever did and I am definitely a MAGA guy. But Trump needs to leave room for other strong-willed people to disagree with him on specific topics.

Congress writes laws, not the President. Trump can always use his leverage to push for rescission or to hold up spending packages in the future. But for now, Trump played the hand he was dealt, and probably felt (correctly) that Musk's criticism was unfair and unrealistic.
Trump has 53 republican Senators and something like a 4 seat majority in the House. If we'd had clean and honest elections, Republicans would have over 70 Senate seats and a 100 seat majority in the House. If Trump had those type of majorities and still couldn't cut spending more than he did, THEN Musk would have a point.
Why was FDR able to make so many sweeping changes to the federal government? Because he had a super majority in Congress for 10 years! Trump barely has a majority in either chamber.
Bottomline: Corrupt elections are the source of almost every major problem in the United States right now. Without correcting that, the downfall of the United States is almost guaranteed, sooner or later. Trump is 100% correct to be like a dog on a bone with that issue, especially when so many others (including Musk at times) are not.
POTUS Trump does not need help with choices or making decisions. He has done a fine job for the country on his own. Elon does not have DJT's ability when it come to running a country, the most powerful in the world. Elon is a science guy. That's a different lane altogether. The numbers-crunching he did for DOGE was fine, but there's more to running a nation than numbers.
Friends can have differences. Friends can have fights. It doesn't mean they can't become friends again. Praying for Elon Musk and Trump to put their differences aside🙏
