I was in junior high when watergate was taking place and my Dad and I would talk politics while fueling tractors to go to field. Somehow my Dad understood exactly what was going on and told me what it was.. None of this really surprises me but it is good to have info to fill in a lot of gaps.

I am certainly no expert on Watergate, but it seems to me that a hotel breakin to steal a few paper files is utterly trivial compared to what Obama and his gang did to Trump with the Russian collusion hoax.
Great article except for one point - I disagree that "opening China" was a good move. I understand that the intent was to create division between Russia and China, but considering how it all played out it would have been far better to have let Russia and China drag each other down economically. The USSR collapsed from the economic failure of their version of communism. China probably would have too, except that by opening trade with the West, China was able to source a nearly unlimited amount of Western money. The US alone has poured tens of trillions of dollars into China, pumping up an otherwise failed state. The Chi-Coms have used that money against us to steal our industries, infiltrate our government, media and universities, and make themselves into a serious contender for world superpower.
I would argue that Nixon actually aided the globalists tremendously by opening talks with China. If a known leftist had done it, the American people would have been instantly suspicious, but coming from a trusted Republican president, it appeared less dangerous. Nixon set the stage in the 1970's for the destruction of the American manufacturing base in the 1990's. The CCP is now just as big a threat as the USSR was fifty years ago. The seeds of our current China problem were sown in 1971.
This has been my view for decades. But now I add in that the Bush/Clinton/Bush cartel sending all our manufacturing there was what built that behemoth. Nixon couldn’t have foreseen that. However, if Nixon had not "opened China" in the 1970's, would Clinton have been able to get MFN status through in the 1990's? Maybe, but Nixon did make it easier for them. Richard Nixon was a good man and good president who made one big mistake and that was standing up for his people who engineered Watergate. His decency overrode him but that should never have been his downfall as he took no part in it.
When he retired, he moved to Bergen County, NJ, not far from where I lived in Rockland County, NY. My kid’s doctor was adjacent to the building where he had an office and spent his days. The doctor expressed great admiration for him but advised me not to go into the other building because security protected him from troublemakers with force. I might be mistaken for one of them.
Where he lived, the people couldn’t have been happier as he and his family were quite decent people who fit in nicely. On Halloween, his house was famous for treating the trick or treaters with kindness and lots of goodies!
I was happy to see that, in death, he was recognized for all that he did.
