Why is it even necessary to mention “ big pharma” like they shoved the drugs down her throat? Blame those who prescribed the drugs but only if she was honest in telling the doctors she was on or had taken other drugs. Sounds like she was a drug junkie. Personally, I can’t believe she didn’t have warnings about mixing the drugs.

Lots of details needed to develop an honest opinion.

Either way, she is a murderer.

Why big Pharma you ask pretty simple. They’re the ones that pay the doctors for writing prescriptions. And you’re right murder is murder.

I tend to blame the bribe taker, not the one offering the bribe. And I’m not opposed to suing big pharma, and doctors who take money in exchange for prescribing their drugs. Especially if the money is based on volume of prescriptions. Just let the suits be for individual cases as opposed to class action

Blaming Big Pharma? Clancy shopped around a dozen doctors and therapists and asked for drugs from each one. Which drugs she took and which she didn't is unclear, but that massive combined drug cocktail was never AND NEVER WOULD BE prescribed by any one doctor.

However, what is clear is that other drug addicts who murder are never excused because of their drug taking, no matter how many or what sort.

The females on that jury and the Tiktokers who have deified her appear to be suffering their own versions of mental illness; certainly reason and rationality are foreign to their thought processes.

Using "Altruistic filicide" as a defense is so vile and abhorrent that only sickos with suicidal empathy could countenance it.

Completely insane. Utopian fantasy for the lunatics in liberal land.

The case of serial mass murderer Constance Fisher in Maine comes to mind: she killed her three kids in 1954, ostensibly to "save them from evil". Fisher was found mentally unfit for trial and interned at a mental hospital for several years.

She was released in 1959, returned to her husband, and had three more children. In 1966, she murdered those kids too.

Again found unfit for trial she was sentenced to life in a mental hospital. In 1973 she escaped that facility and was found drowned in a nearby river a few days later.

self-drowned ... or Help-drowned . Do they know ?

Rick Janes's avatar

Her decomposing body was found in the river about a week after escaping. The coroner ruled it an accidental drowning.

The husband had her buried in the family plot with their six murdered kids. When he died, he was placed in with them. What a macabre tale…

To say the least. One wonders why Hollywood hasn't jumped to make a spectacle of the whole tale.

I see the Lindsay Clancy coverage as cancel culture crossing into the newsroom. The use of a news organization’s reach to expose a juror’s personal difficulties after an unpopular vote is unprecedented, and such coverage becomes punishment for dissent and discourages constitutionally protected independent judgment by future jurors. From this perspective, the Clancy controversy is a cultural dividing point, comparable in public significance perhaps to the Simpson trial. In OJ, it was coverage and its consequences for race relations. In Clancy, it is coverage and its consequences for dissent from the Leftist Mainstream Media-establishment narrative. NBC10 frames its investigation of the sole Black holdout around the "juror’s background" and possible jury-selection disclosures, including questions it acknowledges remain unanswered. Instead of bringing a camera, those hacks should bring a noose and cut out the pretense. Who would have thought that the greatest threat to the Black man in 2026 would be the femi-Nazi?

We have gone from ‘my body my choice’ to ‘their bodies my choice.’ Pop culture media along with legacy media have churned the story in an attempt to suppress law-abiding and fair-minded citizens from willingly accepting their duty to serve as jurors. This is Cancel Culture on steroids!

—— medical professionals estimate that it took about four minutes to strangle each child … Can you imagine the look in their eyes as their mother…

Can you imagine what kind of person would do that not once not twice but three times

Killing them took a long time

Mr. Stone, your love for children really came through in this post. I think I could see teardrops forming in the corners of your eyes as you typed this. Your family is so blessed to have such a kind person and great critical thinker.

I blame her for the most part and equally the medical and insurance community along with the corrupt paid legislators that took the money to eliminate the inpatient mental health care of the American people. The pharmaceutical industry has been warning for years that the maoi drugs and other mind control drugs needed to be monitored and administered by medical professionals with the patient observation done as a inpatient.

It's all about the money! You allow the insurance carrier to control the patients health care and this is the result. The corrupt congress gives is paid off by the insurance company lobbyists to deny the benefits and the doctors orders. You will end up with a jury of crazies.

Mr. Stone is spot on with his analysis, not just of the Clancy trial, but of the moral fog our nation has been griped by.

Hey wait, is there really a crowd funding site for the lone holdout juror? That would pose some ethical issues, but he did the right thing. I’d consider fixing.

Many people have opinions about the Lindsay Clancy jury. Imagine “justice” before the invention of the jury. This Ledger Short explores that world.

Whatever your opinions about the current jury system, or its recent application, it’s undoubtedly an improvement on what came before. https://thelongledger.substack.com/p/before-the-jury

I guess it shouldn't surprise us when leftists openly support an ideology that killed millions last century and support the idea of the collective. Christianity says that the individual has worth just for being made in the image of God, which we all are. But those who support the collective, the village, if you will, see people as having value only as they are able to contribute to the whole. Thus, the elderly, babies, and the physically or mentally challenged are expendable. You see how the socialist nazis killed many with physical or mental disabilities, for example. And there are blue states now that allow a baby to be killed months after birth if it managed to survive an abortion or just isn't wanted. Countries around the world are pushing suicide for minor medical problems instead of actually treating the problems, which isn't as cost effective. The death culture has been creeping in steadily, and we have to oppose it. It's entirely possible to believe that women need better postpartum medical care or even better medical care overall and STILL know that Clancy murdered her children methodically and knowingly. God bless the lone juror (who is being unfairly vilified). I'm hoping MA does the right thing and flips the burden of proof on insanity from the prosecution to the defense. It shouldn't have mattered in this case, but it might help on future cases. I also hope that all those who are doxxing or threatening the lone juror or his family are prosecuted. No one who is compelled to serve should also be harassed for his/her service.

Baby was 8 months old. Patrick remarried. Curious about paternity of baby. Conceived 17 months ago. When Patrick remarried? Just a thread I was wondering about….timeline. When did Patrick file, get divorced, then marry 2nd wife? Yet was on site helping nutjob, running errands. Shades of Medea.

I don't understand why this turned into a big circus. Clancy was severely mentally ill. The pills didn't help and likely contributed to her suicidal thoughts. Once she decided to end her life to escape her misery, she wanted to take her kids with her. Mentally ill of course, but I get it. She didn't want to go alone. What other motive did she have? She admitted killing the kids. Her mental illness was admitted by the prosecution. The jury's only real question is where will she be incarcerated? What is Just? She already made herself paraplegic. And if she ever comes back to herself, the guilt she'll have to live with the rest of her life will be a worse hell than any punishment you want. She doesn't belong in a prison, but confined in a hospital. I don't blame the holdout juror either. I've been on juries. My hope is that the prosecutors and defense lawyers will work out a Just incarceration/hospitalization plan. That's all. I'm not wasting anymore energy on this and going about my life. I hope you will too.

Diana Artemis's avatar

Indeed. “What is Justice for 3 dead babies?”

Donna Ramos's avatar

There is no perfect Justice in this existence, because nothing can bring the children back. But in my beliefs, they are in the arms of the Lord and likely still loves and forgives their mother because their spirits have a greater understanding. The question you should ask is would this tragedy have happened if Clancy had received the medical care that she and her husband were seeking?

I had a friend who was periodically suicidal and a different person until her medications were re-balanced. She would spend a few days in the psychiatric ward of the hospital for observation, and then come out the sweet, happy soul we usually knew. Why didn't this happen for Clancy? I don't know. But I do know that the only true Justice, Mercy, and understanding is in the Realm of God. We only have a poor attempt. And this case is still ongoing. Say a prayer and leave it in the hands of the lawyers and God.
