1) Refuse to print any new money

2) tell congress to create a budget using available income or increase taxes.

3) when they can’t do it or if they raise your taxes, vote them out !

NO HOME OR PROPERTY TAXES AND NO TAXES ON ITEMS ALREADY BEEN TAXED

Charles weaver's avatar

Sounds rather complicated which will allow for loopholes.

What about state income tax, and use taxes already in place like on gasoline, and liquor ?

I am in favor of use taxes vs income tax, but seems better to tailor tax to product with necessities at the lowest rate and everything else at a higher rate. Fewer categories the better

Any plan would work if Congress simply did their job and forced expenditures to match income.

They won’t until forced

There were no troops in Vietnam, only advisors, who, when President Kennedy learned there had been thousands of deaths, was incensed. He signed NSAM 263 to bring home all of them by 1965. But we all know what happened to President Kennedy on November 22, 1963. Thereafter Lyndon Baines Johnson issued NSAM 273 which overturned Kennedy's NSAM 263, and then lied to the American people to get the war started with troops engaged there, one of whom I knew, Richard Edward Dettrey.

I agree cuts are needed, but are attack drones, submarines, and missile defense the right cuts? Drones are the new frontier of warfare, as evidenced by the Russia-Ukulele debacle. These drones, plus advances in hypersonic missile technology, are rendering surface naval fleets - especially aircraft carriers - as obsolete as battleships in WW II.

Another eye opening word Roger. The numbers are staggering. I prayer protection over all involved in exposing this injustice and may those that are responsible be brought to justice.

"It would not be surprising to see some false flags in the works as the bureaucracy works to protect itself and build a groundswell of anger against the cuts."

That's one of the first things that came to mind when hearing about this....

Of that 900,000 DOD employees how many are the military contractors who are private armies? I knew a guy who had multiple tours in Iraq with contracts with different countries. He liked the South African contracts best. He said their ROE was to shoot 'em if you see 'em.

How about the over 800 US military bases around the world? How about an audit of the entire DOD? There have been "billions" missing annually for years. It is reported that the pentagon pays $1300 for a coffee cup.
